Dear Dr. Richards.

Thank you so much for this amazing and informative site. For the last few months I have been so shocked and confused about what has been going on to my body and it wasn’t until i read every article on your site that I got to the bottom of it.I am 20 years old. I started masturbating at an early age but kept my frequency in the 5 to 7 times per week range. however for most of 2009 I smoked alot of marijuana and increased my ejaculation frequency to 2-4 times per day. I did not experience any problems for a while until early this year sometime in January/February. I began to experience Brutal premature ejaculation where as before i could easily last 30 to 40 minutes! after this I began experiencing more and more cases of erectile dysfunction. I had no idea what was going on so i kept masturbating. It wasn’t till about April that i discovered something called sexual exhaustion from another site. I have since completely quit masturbation and have only had sex about once a week. However no improvements have been made. As a matter of fact my symptoms got worse!! I began to experience frequent urination, eye floaters, and shortness of breath. Not to mention depression( but mostly because I’m sexually exhausted and i am very scared). In the last week my Gf has left me and I’m 200 percent committed to beating this. i want my life back!!

1) What products would you recommend for me?
2) I have seen that you recommend sexual abstinence for 2 to 4 weeks and sometimes 2 months to other guys, but what if i decided to abstinent for many months while healing maybe even a year. Would this be good or bad for Sexual Exhaustion?
3) I know that sexual exhaustion is a serious condition and may take many months if not years to heal but what are signs of progress and how often do they usually take to show up?
4) Have there ever been cases that you had that weren’t able to reverse the condition? If so why do you think this was?
Thank you Dr. Richards your work and this site truly can help a lot of people know the truth about overactive masturbation and damage there doing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Sincerly,
Tom

ANSWER
Tom, I appreciate your kind words.

The symptoms described are indicative of a mild case of sexual exhaustion. As the problem is properly addressed one will eventually recover. You may take a look Here, and Here if haven’t already.

“1) What products would you recommend for me?”

A combination of Alpha-Amino, 5HTP-Nettle, GRB6-GABA, Multi-Alpha, and Ultra-Purified-FishOil to stabilize proper acetylcholine, serotonin, dopamine, and GABA levels, better serotonin-GABA nervous modulation on inflammatory response and lower excitatory prostaglandin E2 in prostate and penile tissues, modulate proper hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal-testicular functioning, modulate dopamine-norepinephrine-epinephrine conversions, increase prostaglandin E1 E3 and Nitric Oxide, alter numerous gene expressions, and rewrite the negative neuroplasticity developed.
Also, beneficial will prove to be: regular exercise, proper diet, negative ion exposure, massages, and positive attitude.

“2) I have seen that you recommend sexual abstinence for 2 to 4 weeks and sometimes 2 months to other guys, but what if i decided to abstinent for many months while healing maybe even a year. Would this be good or bad for Sexual Exhaustion?”

It may prove counter indicative if there are low GABA levels present in the brain. Overly prolonged abstinence will result in heightened dopamine levels, which through dopamine-norepinephrine conversions may result in anxiety and heart palpitations. Also, excessive androgens and even inflammatory hormones and neurohormones may accumulate if you are not actively working out. However, if you sustain healthy GABA levels and work out regularly, the prolonged abstinence (for 3 to 5 months) may result in faster recovery. Not only that, but the sexual drive and capabilities may reach an unprecedented peak.

“3) I know that sexual exhaustion is a serious condition and may take many months if not years to heal but what are signs of progress and how often do they usually take to show up?”

In the specific case, the shortness of breath will resolve rather quickly. The premature ejaculation will resolve gradually, however, through the abstinence you won’t be able to monitor the progress. You are to observe dramatic improvement, as far as premature ejaculation goes, after 1 to 3 months. The prostate and penile tissues will restore proper functioning and the proper excitatory prostaglandin E2 levels will be restored. The feeling will be pleasurable, but you won’t even be able to ejaculate as fast. The eye floaters should be the last of the symptoms to resolve gradually in several months.

“4) Have there ever been cases that you had that weren’t able to reverse the condition? If so why do you think this was?”

Yes, however, such cases are usually associated with chronic drug or alcohol abuse for severe nervous, endocrine, and organ damage, or/and cases of sexual exhaustion that persisted for 5 to 20 years and permanently drained ones body of its potential for rejuvenation.

Glad if I could help!
