I had varicocelectomy about 2 years ago and at the time I thought it went well. However, after about 2 months I started experiencing strange burning on the affected testicle. After about 1 hour the burning would become slight pain and discomfort and then go away after about 30 to 60 minutes. I thought that it’s just the organism adjusting to the operation and promoting new blood passages but this has occurred for 2 years now. I experience about 2 to 4 episodes pet month and as you can imagine is quite uncomfortable. I noticed that it would get worse after running and exercise, or masturbation, which is making me think that the blood vessels can’t handle the increased blood flow. Anybody any idea?

You may try massaging the testicles with anti inflammatory creams.

I’ve tried in the past but meh. Cold seems to be relieving it, though.

You may try some blood vessel dilators or blood thinners and see if it will do any good. Ginkgo Biloba and Aspirin are pretty standard but don’t mix them or you may lower your blood pressure too much.

    Try some testicle support briefs.

I had the same operation and sometimes get them when I constrict my waist with a belt. Try without one in case you’re using.

“Rutin is a natural supplement which can have the effect to strengthen micro blood vessels and other ones too. There’s no ill side effects to my experience and for me it has been helpful. Its worth a try at least. I prefer Solgar’s 500mg dose, sometimes doubled. http://www.solgar.com/SolgarProducts/Rutin-500-mg-Tablets.htm

Thanks, bro. I may as well give it a try.

i’ve noticed that the underpants play a major role and can lead to major discomforts and testicle pain through waist constriction. you may as well try something new.

So, basically you’ve had this for 2 years? Boy oh boy — the hope of it going away on it’s own will always be there but you’d better go check out some neurologist as well.

Fellow varicocele sufferer here. I’ve had it (them?) for about a decade now, and although they don’t cause me too much discomfort I’ve thought about getting surgery to have them corrected. Just wondering, how bad was your case? How does your level of pain and discomfort now compare to what you were dealing with before your procedure?

I’m planning on having one done soon, I have been diagnosed by an ultrasound and I’m pushing the doctors towards surgery. It is somewhat painful and I’ve read about all of the negative side effects that varicoceles can have if left untreated.
