Hello. First I'd like to thank you for the advice and research you have put into helping others with similar problems on this site. I have found it very helpful.
Here's my story. Around the age of 15 I masturbated once and sometimes twice a day for only about a year...if that. The impact it has had on my life is substantial. No one ever told me that it could screw ones mental state up so horribly.
Anyway, after I started realizing how it had been effecting me I immediately stopped. Years passed and I thought I would get better by just abstaining from masturbating. I really didn't do any research or do anything about it so I just left my body alone but one thing continued...the constant wet dreams. It took about 3 years for me to get fed up with the slow recovery and do some research.
As of a couple weeks ago I started taking 5-htp, a male multi-vitamin, and Fish oil. Then I did a little more research and started taking GABA and amino acids as of only about 4 days ago. My symptoms for exhaustion include not feeling like myself in general, muscle tension, nervousness, racing thoughts, eye floaters, memory problems, lack of confidence, lack of concentration, ect. Before masturbation I had none of these problems.
The thing is some days I have these problems while other days I do not. When I don't have a wet dream for almost a week I face only the eye floaters really..though I don't feel completely like myself. Though about at the week mark I have one...every time. Last night I was feeling amazing, better than I had in such a long time and then that night I had wet dream and now I feel like I am taking a long leap back, with almost all of the symptoms persisting though they mellowed a little a good five hours after taking the supplements.
Do you know any possible way to prevent these wet dreams from preventing me from getting better? I know this sounds strange but when they happen I can choose to either hold in my ejaculate or release. Either way when it happens I feel this sense of doom that I had failed...yet again.
I just started taking GABA and that may have been the problem seeing as I fit basically all of the symptoms for having low GABA. I feel like the wet dreams aren't normal ones either because the dreams are barely even sexual...they are merely suggestive and I have hardly any sexual thoughts during the day.
I plan on waiting out these supplements and giving them time but this is more annoying than anything I've ever been through. I'm ready to get better, but these wet dreams aren't letting me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello.
The nocturnal emissions (if are not produced by cortisol and epinephrine overshooting during erecion for fight-and-flight ejaculation reaction) are usually normal and healthy. I would suggest you to focus on the other aspects of the healing, as you are already doing.
Through the symptoms described I would say that the serotonin-GABA nervous modulation, and especially GABA on dopamine-norepinephrine-epinephrine conversions and neurotransmitter impulses inhibition is not functioning as it should. So a wet dream actually converts much dopamine to norepinephrine and epinephrine, and if you have already hightened levels of norepinephrine, or you are low on GABA, you will suffer ill consequences even after one ejaculation. You may consider addressing the issue with a combination of products to restore proper nervous and endocrine functioning and neurotransmitter levels. Other than that you may start a regular exercise program to burn excessive stress and inflammatory hormones. A proper diet, negative ion exposure, massages, and positive attitude may also prove helpful.
