What should I do
I need some help and advice. I am 49 and in good shape as far as exercise and body weight. About ten years ago I was diagnosed with type I diabetes. My hemoglobin A1C is about 8.0. My diet is decent.
I have been either masturbating or having sex once a day since I was 13. After I got a laptop I moved to twice a day. I was masturbating whenever I could get it up, ejaculating with a weak erection. I went through a divorce after 18 years of marriage, which was a very stressful time and noticed my erections became much weaker...no morning wood. I got a new girlfriend and eventhough I was incredibly aroused my erection was weak and I came quickly.
I tried viagra. It helped, but still not great, and I felt like crap after taking it.
I know diabetes and high blood sugar can damage nerves and cause ed. But I wonder if I quit watching porn and masturbated once a week if you think this would help. I have started Kegals.
What do you recommend?

Unfortunately any form of diabetes is known to cause forms of erectile dysfunction.
A reduced frequency of masturbation might help, but the thing is that you must reverse or stabilize the illness before you do anything else.
Kegels are not a good idea, they are the last resort of a man to achieve erection actually but in turn over-sensitize the prostate and branches of the sympathetic system, leading to premature ejaculation.
