Dear Dr. Richards,

I have always been a fan of Taoist literature and have found interesting articles there stating that during masturbation the penis is more sensitive to friction, rather than applied pressure. The book also continued stating that this is reversed for the vagina.

So naturally I became wondering if it’s actually possible to reverse the sensitivity of the penis by training it to endure more pressure. In my mind it may affect how it responds to friction and make it more durable overall. Training it to endure friction involves practices that I consider a bit more dangerous overall so I really hope that the pressure will also affect friction sensitivity. Is that correct as a statement? I also read that the most sensitive part of the penis is where the inner foreskin joins into the outer foreskin.

On a side note, I am 38 and actually get all my ejaculation through real sex with my wife. I have stopped masturbating almost completely and feel good about it. I probably ejaculate here and there from nocturnal emissions but it’s all good. There is a problem when my wife is not around for weeks at a time since she has a somewhat unconventional work. The problem is that I have year long periods where I will either ejaculate too fast, or it will be reversed and I will ejaculate too slowly. I really want to stabilize the phenomenon and really be more consistent so could you tell me how to affect one and the other and what Is causing it?

I also notice that my prostate gets a full feeling and when I ejaculate during the night with a full prostate I get a sharp pain sometimes. Is it somehow damaging for the prostate if it does not contract daily or weekly?

Thank you for your dedication to answering all of our questions!

ANSWER
It’s a pleasure. Let me start with some of the main anatomical / biological in nature factors behind penile sensitivity. Mostly responsible are androgen hormones, neurotransmitters (like dopamine, acetylcholine, serotonin, oxytocin, norepinephrine) and nitric oxide, and prostaglandins.

Balanced androgen – neurotransmitter – prostaglandin ratio will lead to balanced ejaculatory response. The opposite applies as well, so certain imbalances on biochemical level will lead to sensitivity and ejaculatory issues. For instance, heightened prostaglandin E2 may lead to oversensitivity and premature ejaculation, while biochemically abundant prostaglandins E1 E3 with prostaglandin E2 lowered under the normal range (usually targeted by a prescription drug) can lead to the opposite. The above will be true only if certain ratios between androgens and neurotransmitters are kept in somewhat proper range, of course. It’s a complex mechanism to influence on a biochemical level but it can be done if you know your current levels.

For instance, Prostaglandin D2 can heat up the skin and improve erection and sensitivity, but if the mechanism is chronically prolonged can trigger additional histamine and other inflammatory / excitatory factors for premature ejaculation and negative neuroplasticity. Supporting the proper nervous modulation on inflammatory response (Serotonin-GABA) can really help with erection / sensitivity / premature ejaculation issues.

As for the opposite, you can train your ejaculatory nervous reflex by stimulating L1 and L2 spinal nerves with prostate / PC (Pubococcygeus) muscle exercises to release more prostaglandin E2, DHT, temporarily improve your erection, orgasm response, and promote faster ejaculation.

The most sensitive area is located approximately 1 inch from the urethral orifice, under the glans penis.

Semen / sperm retention (chronic and for long periods) is as bad as over-ejaculation as excessive testosterone, DHT, prostaglandin E2, norepinephrine, epinephrine, and oxytocin in it will hyper-activate sympathetic nerves L1-L2 and vagal nerves for symptoms like anxiety, sleeping disorders, short temperedness, and in your case inflammatory and congestive pain in the seminal vesicles, prostate, perineum, and tailbone. Additionally, excessive sperm accumulation inside the testicles will interfere with the proper cycle of activin – inhibin release from the testicles, both of which are supposed to influence hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal-testicular axis for androgen and sperm production. Semen / sperm retention will slow down testosterone production with about 35% – 40% (with the exception for temporary spikes observed at day 7 and several more), which has been observed in vasectomized men. Given that you had initial testosterone levels of under 800 ng/dl (which is usually the case these days), this significant testosterone drop will kill male sexual performance, penile sensitivity and erectile power.

The usual cycle for a 40 year old male to reach his peak testosterone of about 600 – 700 ng/dl would be 4 to 7 days of abstinence. If he continues with the practice, those testosterone levels will fall to 400 – 500 ng/dl and he will slowly start experiencing increased sympathetic responses. He will lose libido, have difficulties staying hard, and experience premature ejaculation once he has sex. This is not to be confused with the abstinence that is necessary to recover from sexual exhaustion as there are numerous other factors, both internal and external, involved.

It really is a golden meca for this type of knowledge.

I actually have a friend you’ve helped that seems fine now and I guess it’s my turn.

I’ve been masturbating since my 13 (now am 27) on a constant basis probably 2-3 times a day up until recently when something weird happened and I think I damaged my prostate or something around.

So I was with a girl and this was our third time sex for the night, I was barely keeping my erection and I had become almost completely senseless as far as penile sensitivity goes. It was extremely difficult for me to ejaculate but stupidly insisted at the end so she started jerking me off and this continued at least 15 minutes and just there when I ejaculated I felt extremely sharp pain in my prostate region, in fact it was so painful I went to the bathroom immediately and started freaking out. The sharp pain lasted about 30 seconds and then remained something I can only describe as a burning sensation in the area. Ever since then (4 months now) I’m practically not the same as far as sexual performance and libido goes. My erections are short lived, the burning sensation is ever present and gets notably worse after a workout. Not only that but I started experiencing premature ejaculation as well – hell I’ve never ever in my life ejaculated for under a minute before!

So my question is what is doing on and what can be done?

Thank you so much for your time and effort! I really appreciate it!

ANSWER
The burning sensation, as well as the worsening of the symptoms after a workout, is indicative of excessive inflammatory hormones in the area. Everyone has different gene expressions so the excessive stress and inflammatory hormones lead to various manifestations.

I would conclude that the nervous modulation on prostaglandin E2, norepinephrine, and epinephrine conversion is not functioning properly. Low on prostaglandin E1 semen (as well as tissues for less elasticity) may actually severely damage the urinary tract and prostate with its forceful blasting. Tissue damage will cause an additional burning sensation. The premature ejaculation is indicative of excessive nervous excitation on the prostate, internal inflammation, a possible negative prostate nervous training and response, and certain low nts levels.

You should:
1. Discontinue sexual activities for 1 to 3 months.
2. Make good use of: Multi-Alpha, Alpha-Amino, 5HTP-Nettle and Ultra-Purified-FishOil to power up your nervous and endocrine functions, charge the CNS, aid the nervous modulation on dopamine-norepinephrine-epinephrine conversion and inflammatory and stress hormone release, charge testicular function, and produce more prostaglandins E1 E3 and NO for healing.
3. Consider testicular cooling (uBreeze) for additionally increased androgens.

I’ve been masturbating since I was in my early teens and now early 30’s and I have troubles getting an erection, painful ejaculation, anxiety, memory..etc. I was having some back pain and went to a chinese herbal doctor and he took my pulse and told me my kidney’s were very stressed. He asked me afterwards if I had troubles getting an erection and I told him yes. He told me that kidneys can cause impotence, and that oversexed people do all sorts of damage to their kidneys. He gave me some herbs – but I was wondering if you could recommend anything else? Should I get a blood test to see just what kind of shape my kidneys are in? I’m sure it’s due to over-masturbation. Is there any other supplement that will flush and help the kidneys? Is there anything I should avoid that will hurt my kidneys? I have a lot of supplements from this website.

All the best,
BF

ANSWER
Yes, the chronically heightened overactive sexual activities frequently lead to similar or even these exact symptoms.

The unstable acetylcholine, dopamine, serotonin, and GABA levels, along with weak modulation on stress and inflammatory hormonal releases (norepinephrine, epinephrine, glutamate, histamine, cortisol, prostaglandin E2, prolactin) and dopamine-norepinephrine-epinephrine conversions, and the lack of proper prostaglandin E1 levels, result in numerous ill effects through different gene expressions.

As for the kidney problems, the traditional chinese medicine often refers to a faulty working hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis as a kidney deficiency – they considered the adrenal gland situated on top of the kidney to be part of it. We must separate the understandings here. However, over-masturbation or overactive sexual activities will lead to both adrenal overload (eventually adrenal insufficiency), and kidney damage.

A kidney damage will occur through Monoamine oxidases (MAO) to break down the excessive norepinephine, epinephrine, melatonin, serotonin, and dopamine. Outside of the brain or nervous system 50-90% of MAO-A and 10-40% MAO-B can be found in the liver, kidneys, adrenal glands, heart, gastrointestinal tract, and lungs. When chronically excessive levels of norepinephrin, epinephrine, melatonin, serotonin, or dopamine are observed, MAO will hyperactivate for numerous conversions: dopamine – 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetaldehyde (neurotoxin), norepinephine and epinephrine – 3,4-dihydroxyphenylglycoaldehyde (can trigger apoptosis and cause loss of neurons) , serotonin – 5-Hydroxyindoleacetic acid (for melatonin synthesis depletion), and excessive hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and ammonia NH3 for local tissue damage (especially where MAO induced conversions are taking place – liver and kidneys).

In normal sexual activities, ejaculation is supposed to elevate norepinephrine – epinephrine levels and drop cortisol levels, but if MAO converts too much serotonin in 5-HIAA (5-Hydroxyindoleacetic acid) for temporary serotonin depletion, the norepinephrine and epinephrine will additionally activate the MAO action in adrenal cortex for a excessive cortisol elevation hours after the initial drop. In turn, androgen hormones depletion through suppression of adrenal DHEA production and testicular function will be observed – it will also induce post sex hangover, depression, and damage the brain cells eventually.

A blood test is not a bad idea. However, just one is frequently considered inconclusive, so you may want to make series of tests.

You should discontinue sexual activities for a month and gradually return to normal frequency. Just a random set of supplements won’t prove to be very beneficial because there are some issues that have to be addressed at the same time in order to achieve satisfactory results and avoid negative feedback chain reactions. Zeolite-DA, Alpha-Amino, Multi-Alpha, 5HTP-Nettle, GRB6-GABA, and Ultra-Purified-FishOil will help you restore proper nervous and endocrine functioning, cleanse the liver and kidneys and flush excessive metabolites, restore proper acetylcholine, serotonin, dopamine, GABA levels, restore proper hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal-testicular axis functioning, increase androgen hormones production, restore proper modulation on stress and inflammatory hormonal release and dopamine-norepinephrine-epinephrine conversions, rewrite the negative neuroplasticity, jump start the CNS, and promote prostaglandin E1 E3 and Nitric Oxide for healing.

UPDATE
I read that taking too many vitamins at once can be hard on the kidneys. I eat a lot of veggies and take a green powder drink in the morning so I probably get my Mulit-A from that. I also read not to overload on B-vitamins as the kidney will work harder. I was taking 5mg a day of B12 to calm my nerves, not sure if that is bad for kidney or not. Not sure how Amino acids or choline affect the kidneys?

thank you, sir.

ANSWER
Of course, you shouldn’t overload your organism with anything. However, the problems are not so two dimensional as to just focus on kidneys alone and ignore the ill factors that led you to them in the first place. You should better the whole nervous and endocrine functioning for proper kidney functioning and restoration, and to avoid any future problems. The products should not overload the kidneys in any way (especially combined with Zeolite-DA), but help the organism restore its internal equilibrium.

Always a pleasure.

I am 22 years old. At the age of 15 one day all of a sudden I had experienced sudden reduction of sperm, only a few droplets where before there was 20 times the amount. After some time I started noticing that the time to get an orgasm was decreasing until I was starting to ejaculate immediately. Other factors that I noticed are reduced sexual drive and I think that my testicles have decreased in size as fell as erectile dysfunction. Over the years I sometimes the symptoms varied such as feeling blockage over masturbating but currently I am not feeling much. I have also been experiencing lack of concentration but this can be due to depression.

At the age of 15 I used to masturbate a lot and sometimes after masturbating a number of times in a day I felt severe pain at the time of ejaculation. I am not sure but it can be that the day before I had a sudden reduction in sperm I have felt that pain.

I occasionally tried not to masturbate for a week or two but nothing seemed to change. I know it may seem grotesque but can it be that I am leaking small amount of sperm constantly?

I am really concerned, I really hope that this is reversible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ANSWER
Yes, you are suffering from symptoms of sexual exhaustion.

Your hypothalamic-pituitary-testicular axis is locked completely, leading to lowered androgenic hormonal levels, smaller testicles, and severely lowered sperm production (in some cases up to 100%).

Masturbation discontinuation by itself won’t deliver the needed results through inability of the system to get a grip on the stress and inflammatory hormonal releases.

This is usually a reversible condition, except if left to run its course for years.
What you should do is:

1. Discontinue sexual activities for 1 to 3 months.
2. Use Multi-Alpha, Alpha-Amino, 5HTP-Nettle, GRB6-GABA, Ultra-Purified-FishOil, and testicle temperature regulatory solutions to restore proper nervous and endocrine functioning, change the negative neuroplasticity, support the nervous modulation on stress and inflammatory hormonal release, charge the CNS, increase androgen hormones, and promote prostaglandin E1, E3, and NO for healing.

UPDATE
Thx a lot, I have been suffering from this problem about 7 years now and I had lost all hope until I had found this website. My urologist did not suggest anything to help and told it that it was nothing to worry about but it made my life a hell, not only I had this problem and worse he was not believing me or just he did not care. I have purchased the products one supply of each, should I buy more immediately or wait and see the effects?

I had done sperm count test which indeed indicated that it was very low, and I had made the test with the tube for the bladder but they had not found any blockages. I guess they were just stupid tests but it seems that urologists in my country do not know about any sexual related issues.

Thanks again, thanks to this website and your help I now have new hope.

ANSWER
Yes, the unfortunate fact is that these problems plague today’s society and the worst is that they are not even addressed properly. Every doctor has the obligation to do his best. However, patients just receive “blind” prescriptions most of the time.

7 years is a long period of time, but nevertheless you should observe notable improvements in the second to third week on the products. The delivery time may vary considerably (due to different regulations in postal services) so you may have to be a bit cautious in order to match the delivery date of the second with the end of the first supply.

I’m glad to have helped.

UPDATE
I am sorry if I am repeating my self but I need to ask this question. The great reduction in sperm occurred suddenly over one day, is this reversible? Also prior that such a thing happened on two occasions when I had really masturbated at the time of ejaculation I felt a great pain as if some vein is burning, I now thing that that happened because there was almost no sperm left but could you give me some insight on the fact.

“Could you give me some insight on the fact”
Most certainly. Here is what I consider the exact cause:

You put your already inflamed testicular, prostate, and penile tissues under additional stimulation. The lack of prostaglandin E1 E3 and excessive pristaglandin E2, along with artery constriction, made the local testicular tissues inelastic so the forceful contraction on ejaculation may have caused internal abrasion (responsible for the pains and in turn additionally worsened their functions). Some man experience pains in the prostate and urinary tract, some in the testicles, and some in all of them. Basically the root of the problem is one.

The condition should be reversible, the internal abrasion should heal, and the hypothalamic-pituitary-testicular functions unlock.

Unfortunately I haven’t received the supplements yet, most probably due to the inefficiency of the local post. In the meantime I have been reading about Tribulus Terrestris which is marketed as a natural way to increase the testosterone level and helping sexual life like getting firmer erections. Do you now whether is it safe to use such product, or whether there are some real benefits?

ANSWER
I hope the supplements won’t take much longer to arrive. You may contact the customer support for any additional tracking information.

Excessive tribulus stimulates the pituitary function for more LH and FSH which in turn stimulate the testicular function. However, it may act aggressively in moderate and high dosages, and if a temporary improper testicular function is observed (especially due to arterial constriction) will lead to abnormalities by overworking the hypothalamic-pituitary-testicular axis (without sufficient androgen hormones for a strong negative feedback) for sympathetic nervous fires, anxiety, premature ejaculation, hot flushes, and even heart palpitations. It will not provide proper modulation on inflammatory and excitatory hormonal release, but just blindly overdrive the hypothalamic-pituitary-testicular axis. However, one may benefit from Tribulus once proper modulation on stress and inflammatory hormonal releases, hypothalamic-pituitary-testicular, and dopamine functions are restored. You may consider low dosages and see the exact effect – it is to be indicative of your progress as well.

The supplements have arrived today. I have read from another post your answer to the ideal time and frequency to take the supplements, the only one not mentioned is GRB6-GABA, could you tell me the ideal time to take it?
As for the Tribulus, I have tried them and I experienced increase in libido, much more energy during the day and even helped getting a firmer erection and increase the time to ejaculate although it didn’t increase the levels of sperm. Though I felt some burn after ejaculation and I should not over use it. Is it a good idea to continue taking Tribulus while having the supplements or stop using it for now?

Most certainly. Take 1 tablet in the evening before sleep.
Experiencing positive effects from Tribulus is encouraging. You may continue taking it and, of course, moderate or low dosages to avoid negative feedback effects.

Sorry to keep continuously posting but that’s because is very important to me and always thanks for your informative answers. Should I take day’s off from taking the supplements or is it OK to keep taking them every day.

ANSWER
If you are committed, it is better to just lower the dosages temporary, a day off won’t be that decisive. However, there is no problem to be taken every day, the liver will process them easily enough.

Always a pleasure.

I really think that the products are working, my penis look better and bigger while at rest due to better blood circulation I assume, getting erections more easily and a firmer erection. I do not feel so exhausted after ejaculating.
I suspect that I have low testosterone level and I have done a test which result I would know in a few days. If indeed I do have low levels of testosterone are there any good supplements or exercises to help increase it in a safe way?

ANSWER
Glad to hear that there is an improvement.
Exercise and proper diet will be of great help. The products should eventually increase androgen hormones as well. However, if it is under 300ng/dl, one may consider using Clomiphene Citrate.
