I’ve contacted you before and you were very helpful, however I never succeeded in curing my sexual exhaustion – probably due to not being abstinent from sex more than 13 days.

I’m now contacting you again because I really really want to cure my severe premature ejaculation and on top of that I am also experiencing general anxiety and negative thoughts a lot lately, probably because I started masturbating again every week for the last 3 months or so. I’m now gonna tell you my situation and history so you hopefully can help treating my sexual exhaustion. I’m 20 years old and ever since I became sexually active little over 2 years ago I’ve ejaculated prematurely (most often within 1 minute or less of intercourse). During oral sex I last slightly longer I’d say. I’ve always had and still have a very high libido (it’s too high and I really feel like sex/ejaculating is an addiction or something I need to do). I’ve never experienced any erection problems at all but my premature ejaculation is killing me. I can easily go for a second round or third round immediately after ejaculating and those rounds I wont experience premature ejaculation and will have to force myself to ejaculate – however if an hour or more passes after ejaculating and I then have sex I will experience slight premature ejaculation again.

I’ve tried hypnosis, reading multiple e-books on the subject, kegals (which only worsened my issue), numbing sprays and SSRI which I only took for 2 days because it had some nasty side-effects. I’ve only had sex with alcohol in my blood once but that seemed to give me a bit more control over my ejaculation.

Ever since I was a kid (10-12 years old I’d guess) I’d masturbate quite often. Sometimes twice daily. I don’t do it twice daily anymore, but I probably ejaculate more than 6-8 times a week. The symptoms I seem to have of sexual exhaustion is severe premature ejaculation, excessive sweating (not always but often) mood swings, general anxiety (especially social anxiety) and constant fatigue/weakness. Just to give you some more insight to my current situation you should know what supplements I take at the moment and have been taking to try and cure my premature ejaculation. I’ve been taking different dosages of 5-HTP almost continuosly since September last year – this has not done anything for me at all, if anything it seems to make me a bit more anxious. I still take it though. Ive taken different dosages from 50 mg to 200 mg which I do take now from the supplement company called NOW. I also take 500 mg. L-Tryptophan along with the 5-HTP. For the last week or so I’ve been taking l-methionine (around 1000-1500 mg a day) along with B6 (around 30 mg a day) and vitamin C (2 g. a day) and calcium (800 mg a day) and magnesium (400 mg a day). I have been taking those supplements due to undermethylation. I namely had an allergy test this year and had VERY high histamine and my doctor then prescribed an antihistamine which I only took for 14 days since it didn’t help alleviate symptoms like stuffed nose (which I have all year round) and such. So I read about high histamine or undermethylation and those supplements I described before is usually given to people who are undermethylated – therefore I’ve taken them the last week now but haven’t really noticed anything yet in terms of improvement, it should however also take a bit of time to notice improvement.

Furthermore I want to let you know that I two years ago learned myself to ejaculate without hands (it was via a hypnosis recording). I’m saying this because it perhaps can have messed up my brain chemistry? I don’t know but just wanted to say it just in case you can use the info to help me. I don’t do that anymore and haven’t done in about 1,5 years now I’d say.

Also, when I masturbate I always make sure I last more than 10 minutes in hope of retraining my ejaculatory reflex – so when I masturbate I edge but as I can read here it’s bad so I will stop that of course. During masturbation I also have to slow down or stop so my premature ejaculation is also noticable there, however it’s way worse during sex.

Also, I experience wet dreams if i haven’t ejaculated for some days sometimes I do it even though I ejaculated the day before.

Another big contributing factor to my premature ejaculation is my pelvic floor – it is very tense. Every time I just touch my penis and especially the frenulum my PC muscle spasms and tenses up until I don’t touch it. This causes an ejaculation to occur way faster than it should and I can’t control those spasms at all – it’s like a hard involuntary kegel. Also I have a slight pelvic tilt and thus I often suck in my stomach so it is not looking like a beer belly (im not overweight at all however my stomac is still far out if im standing relaxed) and this sucking in my stomach when I walk and stand up is something I’ve done for many years – perhaps it has made my pelvic floor tight and tense?

I’ve always been an anxious person and this issue has definitely made that worse and I really hope you can help me.
When you started helping me last time you said I should take a 30 day period with no sexual activity then a week where I ejaculated once (as far as i remember) and then another 30 day period of abstinence to be cured. This should be done while taking Fish oil, 5htp, gaba, multi-apha and alpha amino.

I never managed to be abstinent for more than 13 days and I still have all the same problems. What do you suggest me to do this time around?

Also if you suggest me to take some supplements (perhaps it could benefit not taking anything at all, just to not put any stress on my system) does it then HAVE to be the ones from this site or is it okay to purchase elsewhere? It gets expensive when ordering here because of taxes since I live inside of EU. And if I have to keep taking 5htp can I continue with the supplement I’m using now or is 200 mg too much? Perhaps you find it’s not ideal for me to use 5htp at all since I don’t experience any benefit from it. Nonetheless I really look forward to hear from you and what I should do to treat my issues.

Thanks a lot for taking your time to read all this – I tried to make it as detailed as possible.

Best regards,
N”

ANSWER
I must apologize for my severely delayed response. Let me get to it straight away.

I’ve carefully gone through the case and I do remember it well. I must say that the case could definitely be classified as uncommon as far as treatment success rate goes. Cases where it’s serotonin-GABA related are usually well influenced by the combination you mentioned and in particular 5HTP / Tryptophan and GABA (given that it is picamilon-like in nature). You did mention that it is somewhat better when drunk (which would suggest it’s either neurotransmitter, androgen, or local tissue sensitivity related) but one time seems statistically insignificant so we won’t be able to rely on that presumption.

I can understand how difficult it may be for a young man to abstain from masturbation for a month. However if it’s nervous training related there would be no other way of detraining it back and restoring a positive ejaculatory neuroplasticity. Edging (and any other sexually pro-active method of detraining) is not an option as it would affect other aspects of proper organism functioning that will subsequently shape themselves into the same or even worse problems. I’d strongly suggest taking a look at this explanatory video: https://vimeo.com/115821599.

Hypnosis is also usually a viable way of addressing many physically related issues but it’s hard to estimate if it’s been done correctly and pass judgement on the quality of the session in order to label it as a non-working method.

I remember our assumption that it may be PC muscle minor damage related, as it could definitely lead to such. Have you noticed any improvements in that regard? In the way it feels? Or maybe noticed any correlation between positioning / feeling / and premature ejaculation?

Kegels will definitely worsen the issue. There’s no real doubt about that.

Furthermore I want to let you know that I two years ago learned myself to ejaculate without hands (it was via a hypnosis recording). I’m saying this because it perhaps can have messed up my brain chemistry?

That’s actually a real possibility. However, I would say that it is still unlikely to lead to permanent and persistent alterations years after it has been discontinued.

Also if you suggest me to take some supplements (perhaps it could benefit not taking anything at all, just to not put any stress on my system) does it then HAVE to be the ones from this site or is it okay to purchase elsewhere?

It’s definitely okay to supplement from elsewhere if you can find a reputable and high quality source. For instance, just supplementing GABA won’t do much since only small amounts pass the Blood–brain barrier. You’d need GABA with picamilon properties (such as GRB6-GABA / GRB7-GABA where it’s been combined with Niacin on a molecular level), which is not usually easy to find. We’ve also found that 5HTP really goes well with the chemical properties of Nettle, so I’d suggest finding and using both if you’ll supplement from other reputable sources. Similar details are not explained but are frequently crucial so you’d have to make sure you emulate the combination correctly.

And if I have to keep taking 5htp can I continue with the supplement I’m using now or is 200 mg too much?

I believe 200mg of 5HTP is over the top if it’s used in a regular combination with Multi-Alpha, Alpha-Amino, GRB6-GABA, and Ultra-Purified-FishOil. You should definitely avoid exceeding the 200mg dosage.

It’s certainly a possibility. It’s very important for a person would walk around in a semi-relaxed state. Years of conscious tensing may definitely manifest themselves in what you describe and even seep into excessive sympathetic functioning due to conscious muscle tensing (similar to how conscious breathing controls sympathetic – parasympathetic responses).

I never managed to be abstinent for more than 13 days and I still have all the same problems. What do you suggest me to do this time around?

You’ve certainly listed a lot of viable reasons which could explain your particular condition. It may be a result of a single or probably a combination of two or more of the mentioned factors. We’ll just have to try and write them off one by one by exploring and administering known treatments for each. If you respond well to a certain treatment aimed at one of the listed complaints, chances are it was/is involved in your premature ejaculation complaints. It definitely sounds like the logical way approach this case.

The needed approach as far as each individual issue goes seem straightforward for most:

* For instance, you’d just have to consciously relax your stance for a few months and observe any alterations in the severity of your premature ejaculation and PC muscle tightness.
* You’d also have to consciously make it over the 13 day period mark of abstinence, there’s just no way around it.
* You may try slightly different supplement combinations, such as using only L-Tryptophan 500 to 1000 and adding some anti-inflammatory/excitatory herbs to the mix.
* You may try burning a lot of androgens through aerobic activities and see if it subsequently affects your premature ejaculation. Walking 2 to 8 miles may be a good idea. Of course, you’d have to be careful with this method and stop just in time in order to avoid any excessive inflammatory response.

Of course, you’re welcome to think of other activities that may affect the mentioned variables and help us draw useful conclusions subsequently.

Please, keep me updated on the case.

Glad if I could help!

I believe i started masturbating at 12 maybe 11. Everyday since then except the past 4 months I have been rebooting one after the other. Longest so far is 34. I am currently on the last one which is estimated to be at least a year since I have been so involved in masturbation.
Had sex once but had no erection what so ever and it was very embarrassing. At age 16.
Masturbated for 3-4 right around 2-3 times when I was 13-14 yeard old.
I want to know what supplements won’t cause me problems but as . u have mentioned in other posts. Calm and fix my neralcohol. system.
I have irritability occasionally, mood swings, light depression (I work on it when it occurs and I can bring myself out it for the most part), small hands and fingers this is my major concern, huge anxiety and social isolation. Voice variations and ear ringing, eye floaters, tingly hands feet. Easily go numb if i sleep on it. I always sleep good but lately for 10-12 hours. But mostly ten. I am adopting lifestyle changes and great nutrition. a moderate to severe case i what i presume. I may have other symptoms but cant recall them right now. I did smoke for a year quiting around 8 months or so. Very light alcohol. Very very very light.
Will a long reboot solve my physical implications? What might I have done to my penis and nerves?
I also put on a cup I found in the football field in 7th grade when i played. I masturbated with cherry blossom shampoo and my penis and scrotum we very swollen and painful the next day. Went to the doctor and it went down on its own. I also had a second surgery to fix my mom not taking care of my circumcision and had it fixed. I also may have gyno and daily puffy nipples. I feel arms and hands are more maculine but i am very weak and have small hands. 6inch organism and i have been masturbating with shampoos, cooking oils, and I have stopped completely. No more. I’m so scared that life will stay the same and I will no longer grow and mature. I am good looking and want a girl friend but how can I if I am a terrible example of a man?

Thank you for taking time to read this. My life is not ending or in a deep hole. I have ruined my personal and social life. What are your choices to fix them? What do these products do, symptoms of taking them. Long and short term effects/affects?
Thank you. Tyler

ANSWER
Hello,

Right, you’ve guessed correctly that the symptoms you experience are usually indicative of a moderate to severe case of sexual exhaustion.

Will a long reboot solve my physical implications?

You’re certainly on the right path with the sexual abstinence you’ve been going through the last couple of months. However, as you have noticed, it is frequently not enough to bring any lasting positive changes. Many sufferers notice temporary symptom improvement and subsequent recurrence the minute they masturbate again. It’s because they have not actually restored their proper neuroendocrine functioning but have just “lightened” the load on it.

However, you’re still very young and that’s the predominant reason I believe that it is possible to solve many of the physical implications with just a few on spot lifestyle improvements.

The negative neuroplasticity that has been developed has to be addressed in a precise manner to avoid internal feedback mechanisms supporting it. It’s the basic principle of “what fires together wires together”.

I am adopting lifestyle changes and great nutrition

That’s really the way to go, it will prove to be very beneficial in terms of successful recovery and just overall quality of life.

What might I have done to my penis and nerves?

Sexual Exhaustion is a condition that will usually negatively influence one’s penile health by promoting excessive inflammatory / excitatory tissue responses even to minor external stimulation, lowering androgens responsible for penile tissue health and integrity, and lowering prostaglandins E1 E3 and Nitric Oxide for tissue elasticity issues, frequently resulting in abrasions even through ejaculation alone.

There are quite a few things that may have gone wrong but most are usually very reversible with conservative methods.

I’m so scared that life will stay the same and I will no longer grow and mature. I am good looking and want a girlfriend but how can I if I am a terrible example of a man?

You’re still developing and what you describe does seem relatively normal. Certainly slight body part size inconsistencies should be considered normal even in perfectly healthy developing adults. I’d advise you against any excessive worrying at this stage, or any for that matter.

Thank you for taking time to read this. My life is not ending or in a deep hole. I have ruined my personal and social life. What are your choices to fix them?

It’s a pleasure, there are certain lifestyle alterations that you may want to consider. You’ve said that you’re already on improving certain aspects of your lifestyle and diet, and have discontinued any excessive sexual activities, so I will mention some of the rest:
– Negative ion exposure
– Massages
– Healing visualizations. In that regard, particularly useful may prove to be the content at yourhealingmind.org.

What do these products do, symptoms of taking them. Long and short term effects/affects?

They are just very high quality supplements, designed to stabilize and improve internal organism equilibrium when combined properly and in a proper ratio with each other. Once you’ve improved your neuroplasticity you’d need to keep it for a prolong period of time in order to remain the default mode of functioning, related to the previous basic principle in neuroscience “what fires together wires together” I mentioned.

A combination of Multi-Alpha, Alpha-Amino, 5HTP-Nettle (to be discontinued 2nd to 3rd month), GRB6-GABA (to be discontinued 2nd to 3rd month), Balance-Essentials, and Ultra-Purified-FishOil will improve neuroendocrine functioning, stabilize serotonin, dopamine, acetylcholine, and GABA levels, improve hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal-testicular functioning and increase androgens, aid serotonin-GABA nervous modulation on inflammatory / excitatory response, increase prostaglandins E1 E3 and Nitric Oxide for healing, and rewrite the neuroplasticity to a positive one.

Please, keep me updated on the case!

Glad if I could help!

I came across PMO when I was 15 and have been doing it until now, I’m 21. Its something which I am ashamed of and always felt guilty about although it never used to give me any issues and I always used to feel refreshed afterwards. Never had sex, virgin. I’m about 9 stones 1 lbs in weight.
Over the years I can tell that I got addicted and I tried several times to leave the P the M and the O but I always failed. I think the longest I got to was 15 days and the urge was crazy for me to resist. I always thought and knew I was doing something bad but I’d always been told at school that there is nothing wrong with PMO and that its good for you.
My normal frequency would be daily, to long edging sessions to release right at the end, I would waste hours going from video to video. Most days were once, occasionally 2 or 3 times in a day and sometimes none in a day but the last two were rare. During the first 4 years everything was fine. It’s just this last year of 2014 at which everything’s gone wrong. At this time my life was hectic, I was working hard on my business from home. University, assignments, my diet was extremely poor now that I think of it. I skipped breakfast or simply had nothing nutritional in my breakfast most days just a cup of tea if I did decide to have anything. Im bombarded by pressure from my parents and brothers to get a job etc. Now to the story:
Early 2014 I had a flight to catch and that morning I did a PMO with again no breakfast or simply rubbish foods, the pressure of getting to the airport etc. gave me what I now realise looking back my first taste of an anxiety/panic attack which lasted a few hours. I got over it quickly and I was running back to normal with the constant lifestyle and PMO.
Prior to the start of June I had exams and the poor lifestyle continued. Prior to my Exam in the morning as usual did a PMO which resulted in me almost running out of the exam which I now looking back at again was a result of PMO and panic and anxiety. I don’t know how but I managed to sit through the exam and ended up getting an A+ grade. My PMO and lifestyle continued after this and I had no issues and once again was back to normal. Looking back I should have taken these as crucial signs but I didn’t at the time. At no point in time did I think or care what caused this issue and simply put it down to nerves.
At this point I had been on holiday for a month and a half. Fast-forwarding until June of 2014; 2 weeks prior to restarting University. The PMO continued without any issues, looking back now I can see that my health started to decline as I got closer to what I call the crisis which took place in July of 2014. I had decided to go on a fast for a few days which didn’t include a PMO but on the fifth day in the morning I ended up PMO’ing. Later that night I had to go to hospital for no apparent reason. I had headache, low mood, dry skin, fatigue, shaking, hot and cold flashes, abdominal discomfort, my heart beat and BP was all over the place. I was told nothing was wrong and that it was dehydration. I was put on saline and was sent home. What I do notice looking at my blood work from that day is that my potassium was on the higher end and my sodium was quite low which made me thing about adrenal fatigue or Addison’s disease etc. but ill talk about that later. So this experience seemed to have increased my anxiety. But looking back it seemed that my body was constantly being drained of vital nutrients over time leading up to the event.
After returning from the hospital it took much longer for me to get my health back, and I didn’t PMO for about 3 weeks into uni and I was fatigued, tired and stressed. I happened to start feeling better abstaining from the PMO which at that time I again didn’t realise. Back to the next few PMO’s and that was it, extreme headaches, couldn’t move from my bedroom to my brothers room. Fatigue, eye floaters, brain fog, weak muscles, dry skin, nausea you name it. I ended up going to my doctor who checked for things like parasites, celiac disease. But didn’t find anything, he told me to come back but I didn’t end up going back, more on that later. When he told me they couldn’t find anything over the phone a few days later the severe anxiety set in because I didn’t know what was happening to me and that I would be this burnt-out for the rest of my life because nothing was getting better. I think at this stage maybe I did develop an anxiety problem caused from my poor health and worry that I wouldn’t be able to please a women. That night I did another PMO and another one right after and no sperm came out I was dry. A few hours later and it literally sent me into severe anxiety, insomnia, crying at night, anorexia (unable to eat), and decreased appetite, sex drive and libido had gone. The majority of symptoms lasted about a week and a half when I researched online and I came across YBOP and reditt etc. and it just made so much sense everything seemed to click and I thought rite I’ll do the reboot and I’ll be fine. It was 5 years of non-stop PMO, porn addiction, masturbation addiction all adding up. I used to PMO to any feeling I felt sad, happy, excited, to waste time from boredom etc.
I decided to reboot. I decided to lower all stress and since I was now back on holiday there was no university. I started having good breakfast, eggs, seeds, dates etc left all sugary foods, just improved my lifestyle on a whole and started sleeping earlier. Over the first reboot it made a huge difference.
I ended up doing roughly 90 days free from PMO cold turkey on my first go. The first 2 weeks of it I experience massive withdrawal symptoms, all the ones you can think of. It was horrible. I was in a massive flatline, no penis response, no morning erections. The symptoms gradually decreased and improved up until day 43 which I noticed a major change and I slowly started seeing morning erections and sensitivity in the penis. Depression had gone after about the 3rd week into it but the Severe Anxiety remained. Everything seemed to be getting better and I was feeling better and better as the days went by. At about days 50 or so the anxiety lifted off and I was back to my normal self with only very minor symptoms such as lethargy. Day 75 arrived when I had my first wet dream and I felt amazing after it. No anxiety no symptoms, everything had cleared and I experienced no post wet dream orgasm ejaculation symptoms. Every day I was having morning wood. I felt amazing. Back to normal. I continued the reboot for another 20 or so days I promised myself to continue the reboot and do no more PMO related activities but I was naive and somehow ended up back to edging which I did for about 11 days without orgasm just P & M. the edging was too intense and I gave in and orgasmed & ejaculated a huge amount whilst lying down edging to my phone in bed (something which I hadn’t done prior to those 11 days). The thing that triggered it was seeing news of a new pornstar on facebook. I felt fine after that orgasm but did feel guilty of letting myself relapse. I didn’t have symptoms so I slept well through the night. This first reboot did include lots of fantasies and long edging sessions towards the end so it wasn’t a pure reboot The following day I felt a little lethargic but I thought that’s fine none of the symptoms have returned. I was happy, I was back to normal, little did I know come 7pm when I started to have dinner, I was happily talking to a family member and then something in my brain flicked a switched and anxiety returned right there and then out of nowhere. I had to get up luckily I had eaten most of my food so nothing looked fishy to my family members the headaches returned and the lethargy, and low moods and the fluctuating energy levels. But this time no loss of appetite or insomnia. This time it wasn’t however as severe as the first time. But still very bad. The only time I had insomnia was the period I mentioned earlier prior to my first reboot. And some during the withdrawal phases of the first reboot.
As a result I started another reboot from the next morning and it has now been 25 days PMO free and this time I have eliminated any form of sexual thought as well as not looking at women on the street. The first 20 days were tough with anxiety, if there’s no anxiety then depressed mood, or fatigue, lethargy. But it’s taken much less time to start feeling a little bit better than the first reboot which I’m taking as a positive sign. I hope it all goes away and I’m thinking of going as long as I can this time without any form of sexual thought or activity.
What I have noticed over the last 150 days or so is that 95% of my anxiety always however tends to go away after 6pm and my energy levels drastically increase after that time. During the days it’s very tough and I feel fatigued and the energy levels are low, but after 6pm it’s like I get a second wind of energy and I feel fine. I also have noticed that I crave more salt. And I’m thirstier. In the early stages of the reboot I also noticed dryer skin. And I have dry skin patches behind my ear. Do you think this could be adrenal fatigue or insufficiency? Maybe my adrenals can no longer produce cortisol properly?
Also like to say that my hair has gradually started to fall out from the very first incident and is very brittle.
I also noticed that over the last year prior to all this started I notice I have a varicocele on my left testicle, it’s not too big but it is visible and you can feel it when the scrotum is soft and warm. I did read somewhere that a varicocele can cause the testicle to overheat which results in low testosterone and poor sperm production, thus resulting in symptoms similar to the ones I experienced. Could this be causing problems me anxiety after orgasm or ejaculation? Maybe testosterone drops too low?
I have not taken any supplements and am not sure if I should as I’m not a fan of popping pills etc. I need to fix my body because I want to get married soon. I don’t have problems with erections at the moment it’s just when I ejaculate or orgasm that creates issues of mainly anxiety. I feel so bad that ive ruined my body and the thought of this makes me feel down. Because of my issues a girl I used to like alot just got married to someone else and that’s put even more pressure on me and I feel so down and bad about this. This has just made things worse. I fear I can’t get a girl now because I won’t be able to satisfy her but my parents will push me to get married in about a year or maybe 2 years’ time.
I also notice that when I last PMO’d and times before that towards the latter years I get a rush of adrenaline similar to when you get frightened rather than a pleasure feeling when I look at PMO. Do you think looking at porn and over masturbation can cause these issues because it’s different from normal sex?
I haven’t had real sex so don’t know if I would have symptoms after that. Same goes for masturbation without porn, haven’t tried that either. And when I do orgasm/ejaculate through masturbation it’s normally after a long edging session. And why it is that wet dreams don’t give me any symptoms.

Sorry for such a long story:
I know I have asked some questions above but I have tried to summarise them below:
1. Is this sexual exhaustion where my nervous systems are so battered from all the PMO?
2. How do I regain the ability to have no symptoms a day after ejaculation which last so long? In other words how to I go back to being normal? (Im sure if I did more O’s at once the symptoms would be much more severe)
3. Should I go to the doctor again? I have resisted as he will probably prescribe me SSRI’s or something which will not solve the problem.
4. Why is there no symptoms after a wet dream but only when I PMO?
5. Should I have my bloods done to see if there are any deficiencies?
6. Is my varicocele and low testosterone a possible cause?
7. Could I have adrenal fatigue, Addison’s disease adrenal insufficiency or some sort of thyroid problem? Perhaps the adrenals are being pushed to their limits and can’t work properly from so much stress caused to them over time? (thyroid problems run in my family)
8. If in the first reboot I noticed so much improvement what do you advise?
9. Are there any similar conditions to mine?
10. Have people recovered?

Hi,

Simple question.

SHORT STORY:
1. I kept masturbating daily, sometimes a few more times a day, max probably 3 times a day but that’s very rare.
2. Always to porn usually, sometimes no porn, death-grip, long edging sessions that went maybe a few hours sometimes, normally when Id wake up in the morning or before I went to sleep.
3. Did it for 5 years. Tastes started at plain vanilla stuff and over the years got more intense. Some videos stopped appealing to me towards the end of the 5 year period. I always looked for more arousing stuff.
4. Searching for videos and waking up and thinking lets have a porn session use to give me a massive adrenaline rush always.
5. Orgasm/Ejaculation never used to give me any issues 6. Symptoms gradually crept up on me without me noticing after each orgasm/ejaculation/porn session.
7. for about 2 months symptoms got worse and worse after each PMO.

8. Then one day I did as usual another PMO and this time got severe anxiety, extreme fatigue, headaches, brain-fog, changing moods, social anxiety, higher more trembly voice, insomnia, no appetite, weak muscles, little bits of depression, all symptoms of adrenal fatigue negative thoughts started entering my head which never used to like how will I get a job, how will I get a girl, how am I gonna live life etc etc I never used to think stuff like this but they just started all of a sudden.

9. Read YBOP so thought I need to reboot. so did cold turkey 90 days off PMO. FELT AMAZING, a lot of the symptoms gone in that time.

10. Thought I was cured, started edging for 10 days, 11th day PMO’d and bam all symptoms returned at full force the following day. (not during or after orgasm, the symptoms start the following day)

11. Now in second reboot (its now 65 days into second reboot have noticed much faster to start recovering and for the symptoms to go away compared with the first reboot about 25 days or so compared to some 70 days in the first reboot) in saying this the fatigue and headaches are still there and I notice I always seem to feel better during the evening for some reason. my headaches go away and I feel like normal at night time.

Questions:
What is cause of these symptoms?
Is this Sexual Exhaustion from too much orgasm ejaculation, overstimulation and inability for the body to cope with such high demands?

HOW DO I FIX MYSELF?

I am taking a supplements, Organic Greens Super Food that has lots of good stuff in it herbs etc in the morning. Amino Acid complex during mid day, sometimes fish oil. sometimes protein shakes, a multivitamin at night time. What are your thoughts on this? I have changed the lifestyle, eliminated porn forever and started being more positive.

please reply me, im struggling to cope with the thought that I will never be able to have an orgasm again without getting such severe symptoms.

please help me fix this, im so worried

ur thoughts are greatly appreciated

I already asked once but I received no reply from you

ANSWER
I apologize for the late reply. I have found the first email and will attach it to the case. So, let’s get to it straight away:

My normal frequency would be daily, to long edging sessions to release right at the end, I would waste hours going from video to video. Most days were once, occasionally 2 or 3 times in a day and sometimes none in a day but the last two were rare. During the first 4 years everything was fine. It’s just this last year of 2014 at which everything’s gone wrong.

Hour long edging sessions can be extremely taxing on one’s neuroendoctine balance and proper organism functioning. Edging, as a practice, is definitely a more harmful variation of conventional masturbation. I would say that it is not uncommon to experience similar severity of the symptoms after years of consistent edging.

External pressure and stress can definitely be a contributing factor.

As you have noticed yourself then, increased sympathetic response to even minor triggers is quite common and usually very related to sexual exhaustion (in cases where similar lifestyle is observed).

Later that night I had to go to hospital for no apparent reason. I had headache, low mood, dry skin, fatigue, shaking, hot and cold flashes, abdominal discomfort, my heart beat and BP was all over the place.

Similar symptoms are almost definitely related to improper serotonin-GABA nervous modulation on excitatory and inflammatory response. Excessive sympathetic activity and inflammation will basically lead to all of the described symptoms and more. I will additionally expand on the phenomenon down my post.

That night I did another PMO and another one right after and no sperm came out I was dry. A few hours later and it literally sent me into severe anxiety, insomnia, crying at night, anorexia (unable to eat), and decreased appetite, sex drive and libido had gone. The majority of symptoms lasted about a week and a half.

It definitely sounds like a moderate to severe case of sexual exhaustion.

I ended up doing roughly 90 days free from PMO cold turkey on my first go. The first 2 weeks of it I experience massive withdrawal symptoms, all the ones you can think of. It was horrible. I was in a massive flatline, no penis response, no morning erections.

You definitely did well to endure 90 days and also avoided going over the “three month mark” I’ve mentioned in some of my previous answers as the safe limit for such. The flatline was to be expected and served to provide you with an accurate representation of the actual state of your condition.

The thing that triggered it was seeing news of a new pornstar on facebook.

The unfortunate fact is that addiction is not so easily removed from one’s brain. It can stay dormant for months or even years, waiting for a suitable trigger to reveal itself.

I was happily talking to a family member and then something in my brain flicked a switched and anxiety returned right there and then out of nowhere.

A bit uncommon I must say, not because of the suddenty of its appearance but because of the complete lack of any supporting symptoms.

This is actually very common with people who experience any form of anxiety disorder. It is most likely related to the way our bodies utilize certain neurostransmitters (in particular serotonin) during the natural circadian rhythm. During the evenings and at night the body becomes much more reliant on melatonin for its functioning, and serotonin abnormalities (such as low levels or certain receptor alterations) are less prone to be detected while under “lighter load”.

Do you think this could be adrenal fatigue or insufficiency? Maybe my adrenals can no longer produce cortisol properly?

Certain cortisol abnormalities are to be expected but they are usually a result of the excessive sympathetic functioning for increased anxiety, stress, and inflammation. Hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal-testicular axis is usually severely affected with sexual exhaustion, so there’s the possibility of suffering from a mild manifestation of such. However, taking in account the time needed to develop and your age, I would not suspect any permanent or severe abnormalities as of yet.

I did read somewhere that a varicocele can cause the testicle to overheat which results in low testosterone and poor sperm production, thus resulting in symptoms similar to the ones I experienced. Could this be causing problems me anxiety after orgasm or ejaculation? Maybe testosterone drops too low?

It is true. Patients with varicocele will definitely experience not only lowered testosterone but lowered androgens as a whole. It’s still a controversial subject, as in theory those levels are balanced by a negative feedback mechanism, meaning that the body will produce until it reaches the required levels (even if one testicle is present it should work double for instance). Of course, this theory has severe cracks in its viability, as for instance, it won’t explain the evolutionary need of testicles being outside the body if that ultimately won’t have any impact on androgens levels.

There are some studies pointing out numerous abnormalities happening during testicular overheating, partially preventing the body from utilizing testicular potential regardless of its sheer load input.

The reality is that most of the patients with varicocele do suffer from lowered androgen levels.

Androgens levels in general are known to be related to feelings of courage and calmness. A pretty straightforward indicator is the severely increased predominance of anxiety disorders in females, rather than males.

And to answer your question in a more straightforward manner – yes, this is definitely contributing to your anxiety.

I also notice that when I last PMO’d and times before that towards the latter years I get a rush of adrenaline similar to when you get frightened rather than a pleasure feeling when I look at PMO. Do you think looking at porn and over masturbation can cause these issues because it’s different from normal sex?

You will get those with normal sex too, predominantly through dopamine-norepinephrine-epinephrine conversions and increased demands on your cardiovascular system. The difference is that it is much more aggressive in its occurrence in people who have weakened modulation on serotonin-GABA nervous modulation (masturbation or not). Artery constriction can make it even worse.

1. Is this sexual exhaustion where my nervous systems are so battered from all the PMO?

The symptoms are definitely indicative of a moderate to severe stage of sexual exhaustion. PMO Addiction combined with individual genetic makeup and lifestyle can definitely lead to it.

2. How do I regain the ability to have no symptoms a day after ejaculation which last so long? In other words how to I go back to being normal? (Im sure if I did more O’s at once the symptoms would be much more severe).

You were generally on the right track. The way to go is to transform the negative neuroplasticity you’ve developed over the years into a positive one. The interneuronal connections have been developed and ordered to process information in a specific manner and it usually takes much conscious effort into rewiring them to induce the desired response.

3. Should I go to the doctor again? I have resisted as he will probably prescribe me SSRI’s or something which will not solve the problem.

It depends on the individual specialist. However, based on the symptoms you’ve described you are very correct in your expectation. I would strongly advise against any SSRIs / SNRIs as they can worsen the condition even further. Be sure to check: https://cure-erectile-dysfunction.org/antidepressants-and-sexual-function .

4. Why is there no symptoms after a wet dream but only when I PMO?

Nocturnal emissions are both shorter and notably less intensive as far as neuroendocrine load goes. They are also well timed with hGH / androgen spikes.

That being said, some people would still observe negative side effects and experience slower recovery (not nearly as bad as from PMO, though), especially if the emissions are excitatory / inflammatory in nature.

5. Should I have my bloods done to see if there are any deficiencies?

Similar generalized tests are usually quite ineffective in detecting the imbalanced state through the inability to monitor neurotransmitter levels in the brain, the wide range of acceptable results, and the flat ratio of hormone-neurohormone-neurotransmitter interactions monitored.

6. Is my varicocele and low testosterone a possible cause?

It’s definitely a contributing factor.

7. Could I have adrenal fatigue, Addison’s disease adrenal insufficiency or some sort of thyroid problem? Perhaps the adrenals are being pushed to their limits and can’t work properly from so much stress caused to them over time? (thyroid problems run in my family).

It is possible. However, it is not likely. And even so – the root issue is probably not the thyroid or adrenals. Naturally, the statement would be true only if you’ve not reached a breaking point, which is still unlikely since you’ve managed to restore quite a bit of your proper organism functioning for 90 days.

8. If in the first reboot I noticed so much improvement what do you advise?

The obvious suggestion would be to continue with what has proven to be of assistance. I will mention a couple of suggestions at the end of the post, though.

9. Are there any similar conditions to mine?

Yes, I’ve seen quite a few very similar cases.

10. Have people recovered?

They have. There are some useful practices that have worked well for almost all of the similar cases, even if each has its own minor individual differences.

Questions:
What is cause of these symptoms?
Is this Sexual Exhaustion from too much orgasm ejaculation, overstimulation and inability for the body to cope with such high demands?

It’s usually caused by a combination of factors, most of them related to self-abusing pattern of activities, individual gene expression, and general lifestyle. Let me mention some of the causes for your symptoms:

* Excessive masturbation usually leads to imbalances in acetylcholine, serotonin, dopamine, GABA levels and their respective receptor count, which in turn leads to a wide set of symptoms. However, one of the most notable consequences is the impaired serotonin-GABA nervous control on neuronal activity and excitatory / inflammatory response. As a result, excessive cortisol, prostaglandin E2, and other inflammatory factors are observed in blood, tissues, and brain. This creates a negative neuroplasticity extremely fast since excitatory factors have always played a part and been important for behavioral modulation in times of acute external stressor exposure.

* Artery constriction for increased inflammation and lessened blood flow to tissues.

* Adrenal gland adjustments to chronically create more stress and inflammatory hormones, such as cortisol and epinephrine, at the expense of DHEA and other androgens. This is closely related to the negative neuroplasticity loop I mentioned.

* The lowered androgens as a result of the varicocele you mentioned.

* The increased levels of cortisol, prostaglandin E2, norepinephrine, epinephrine, and especially prolactin to negatively affect the levels of GnRH, LH and FSH, and together with the arterial inflammation and constriction kill testicular function as well as hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal-testicular axis’ proper functioning. Matters only get worse by the possibility of your testicles not functioning at their full potential from the start due to the mentioned varicocele. Less androgens to modulate inflammatory response, testicular insulin resistance, energy levels, tissue and testicular health, hormonal conversions, and neurotransmitter homeostasis, will result in even more vicious cycle of inflammation to suppress them even further through low dopamine levels and chronically heightened prolactin.

I have changed the lifestyle, eliminated porn forever and started being more positive.”

You’re definitely on the right track there. However, you’ve missed addressing the mentioned serotonin-GABA nervous modulation, which is usually of extreme importance. Rewriting a negative neuroplasticity usually takes time and is a tricky thing to do if one is unaware of what he’s doing. It can support itself through feedback reactions so ideally you’d have to address each and every issue simultaneously. That’s why just a random set of supplements frequently prove ineffective.

There are some general things and practices you should consider. Such as:

* Exercise
Running is very beneficial for Nitric Oxide-hGH boosts, as well as for improved neurogenesis.

* Proper diet.
Much fiber, fruits, avoid milk with prostaglandin E2 analogs, avoid empty calories and much red meat.

* Negative ion exposure
The general rule is wherever there is water, there are negative ions: rivers, lakes, oceans and ponds, even your own shower.

* Massages
Similar practices definitely have a positive effect on local inflammatory processes and proper blood circulation restoration.

* PMO discontinuation
It’s definitely a good thing that you’re already on it. You’ll need to discontinue sexual activities for 1 to 2 months (several times if you have to) and then limit masturbation as well as other similar in nature activities to 1-3 times a week for 3 to 5 months.
Additionally, edging has to be completely discontinued.

* Healing visualization and meditation
Here particularly useful will be https://yourhealingmind.org , as guided imagery frequently produces results even beyond conventional medical expectations.

Also, a combination of Alpha-Amino, Multi-Alpha, 5HTP-Nettle (should be gradually discontinued 3rd to 4th month), GRB6-GABA (should be gradually discontinued 3rd to 4th month), Alpha-HGH, and Ultra-Purified-FishOil for the specific case, will improve nervous and endocrine functioning, stabilize acetylcholine, serotonin, dopamine, GABA levels, aid hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal-testicular axis proper functioning, restore proper serotonin-GABA nervous modulation on excitatory and inflammatory response, increase androgens, increase elasticity prostaglandin E1 E3 and Nitric Oxide, alter numerous gene expressions, and eventually rewrite the negative neuroplasticity developed.

Of course, you did mention that you are taking a similar combination so if you have found that it works for you I will suggest just adding L-Tryptophan or 5HTP-Nettle and GRB6-GABA.

Note that the primary goal for the first 3 to 4 months is to restore the proper acetylcholine-dopamine-serotonin-GABA levels / ratio and modulation on inflammatory and excitatory response, as well as proper dopamine-norepinephrine-epinephrine conversions and dopamine-prolactin ratio. You would then need to monitor your overall stress levels (both physical and mental) for some months to make sure you’re keeping the neuroplasticity that has been developed.

Please, keep me updated on the case.

Hi Mark,

quick update: its now about day 71 into my second reboot and im feeling a lot better. nearly 98% of my anxiety is gone. and a lot of the other symptoms are also gone.

few questions:
1. in my country GABA is illegal so what can I consume in stead of this??

2. also when should I consider trying a very quick masturbation again? is it too early or should I wait until day 120?

Thanks so much for all your help.. I have sent you a previous message with information in regards to what supplements I am taking but you haven’t replied that one yet. so if you could kindly answer them it would be much appreciated. I appreciate all your help your one person who keeps me going in this tough time in my life.

ANSWER
It’s a pleasure. I apologise for the late reply. Let’s get straight to it:

Thank you for being so thorough with the report. Let me say that your supplementation definitely seems very adequate and on point, with the exception I mentioned in my previous post. Additional and balanced 5HTP-Nettle and a “Picamilon” quality GABA supplementation (where the GABA has been combined with Niacin to pass the Blood–brain barrier) are essential to serotonin-GABA nervous modulation on inflammatory / excitatory response.

I also have 5-HTP (5-Hydroxy-L-Tryptophan) 50mg available but im not too sure if I should use it because I have read that it can lower dopamine

It is true, however, the effect is very mild at best and is basically required to diminish any excessive inflammatory / excitatory response, excessive dopamine-norepinephrine-epinephrine conversions, and to prevent “abstinence anxiety” caused by such on day 30 and above. Sexual activities discontinuation will actually increase dopamine above its usual range, even with heavy 5HTP supplementation.

is nettle a necessity with the 5-htp as mine doesn’t include nettle.

I won’t go as far as saying that it is absolutely necessary but it adds a very positive and thought out effect to the mix by addressing numerous inflammatory, anaemia, hair-loss, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), osteoarthritis, and digestive related problems in a quite effective manner.

how much dosage of GABA do I require?

If it’s not combined with niacin, I won’t recommend taking any since you’d have to rely on particularly large numbers to be somewhat effective. Standard GRB6-7-GABA dosage applies otherwise.

also is this order of taking the supplements okay. if you can advise when to take each supplement that would be great.

It’s usually highly individual. You may want to experiment with those and just go for whatever you feel like works best.

1. in my country GABA is illegal so what can I consume instead of this??

That’s quite unfortunate. I guess you’d have to rely just on GABA promoting foods, which is usually not quite as effective.

Also when should I consider trying a very quick masturbation again? is it too early or should I wait until day 120?

I won’t recommend going over 90 days (as quite a few patients report related side effects), so it’s certainly not too soon. Anywhere in between days 60 to 90 would be ideal.

Please, keep me updated on the case.

Glad if I could help!

ANSWER
That definitely sounds like a mild to moderate case of sexual exhaustion, given your excessive masturbation habits.

Im not sure if its adrenal fatigue or sexual exhaustion and not sure if they are connected.

Sexual Exhaustion is definitely connected to forms of adrenal fatigue (although both conditions are claimed to be quite broad in nature), predominantly through the abuse of your hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal-testicular axis and, of course, the drained organism as a result of heavy endocrine / nervous system involvement in the activity. Semen is also rich in vital nutrients, and discharging it that regularly is draining on its own, additionally exhausting one’s system.

But All I felt was just drained energy as soon as I woke up that night, so Its probably not adrenal fatigue cuz I didnt feel fatigued or exhausted, just the low energy

A curious occurrence is that people who have overtrained may not actually feel the actual exhaustion for a long time into it. The excessive excitatory factors can aid them in chronically prolonging the activities quite a bit. A very notable exhausted muscle feeling can occur days after they have discontinued it and remain so for months.
It is the same with this kind of related fatigue and exhaustion. It is sometimes difficult to assess the actually severity of the condition one-sidedly, without altering patient’s regimen and observing shape/feel/symptoms alterations.

The withdrawal symptoms are reducing day by day but my main question will be, will I have to stop masturbating for a few weeks or just do it once or twice a week and do moderate exercise and not so intense?

I’d suggest considering sexual activities discontinuation for a month and a subsequent ejaculatory reduction to 1 to 2 times per week for the next 3 months.

UPDATE
I also discovered weight loss, I happened to weigh myself and I lost 8 lbs! I guess it’s one of the symptoms of the condition?

ANSWER
Right, the probability of it being related to the condition is certainly high. Excessive sympathetic activity and excitatory response usually result in such.

So I’d like to get some advice on how to tackle this ongoing battle with my own body. I was unfortunately exposed to Masturbation at quite a young age (10-11~), and Now I am 17. Sometimes I’d do it daily, sometimes every 2-3 days.

I regret every single second, i spent on this filth.

This case is going to be a bit long, because I don’t want to miss out any detail.

Well, I decided to go cold turkey on Masturbation about 85 days ago. The thing is, I wasn’t totally aware of the Withdrawal symptoms & knowledge about SE / Masturbation addiction.

I first looked at yourbrainonporn.com and got a bit knowledge about it as a Chemical Addiction or so. However, About 60 days into the withdrawals, I found out this website and it has confused me.

YourBrainonporn claimed that, withdrawals will take about 3 months to about 1 year, depending on severity of the addiction. However, when I went through a lot of articles & cases on this website, I found out that I’m stuck in a permanent state of Fight or flight response. I hope you can clarify me on this.

Anyways, 3 days into the withdrawals, I got a full-fledge panic attack, out of no where. I had heart racing & fainted for 30 seconds, and it all ended suddenly.. but I did go to the Doctor immediately and he checked my electrolytes, which were fine.

After that, It all went down, I had Anxiety, partial insomnia, Restless legs syndrome, tremors, shaky feeling, inflammation, weight loss, migraines, fatigue, hair loss, Ear buzzing (not alot), Eye floaters, Mood swings, Heart palpitations (Only for sometime) etc.

I’ve had these tests done, some of them maybe, unrelated due to my lack of knowledge about the addiction at first, apparently.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Tests:-

Vitamin B12 – 176 [Ref range: 156-675] pmol/L

Vitamin D [Done twice] : 4 and 35 (After injection)

Serum Calcium [Done thrice] – Diagnosed with mild Hypercalcemia (This worries me ALOT)

A mistake here done is, S.Calcium wasn’t measured before giving Vit D injection.

After Vit D injection:- 2.6 [Ref range: 2.10-2.55] in mmol/L.

A week after last test:- 2.74 [Ref range: 2.20-2.65] in mmol/L.

Two weeks after last test of (2.74) | :- 11.0 [Ref range: 8.4-10.2] in mg/dl .. This is about 2.75 in mmol/L. (from different hospital.)

This worries me alot, but doctors said, at my age it’s completely fine and it rose a bit due to me being anxious all the time and breathing alot.

Should I be worried? Is there any neurological connection between calcium & neurotransmitters imbalance (which I’m facing currently)…?

PTH – 20 [Ref range: 9-65] in pg/mL… This was done when I had calcium 2.6 mmol/L.

Doctors said, no problems with PTH.

Multiple tests of T3, T4, TSH done –

The lastest one is:

TSH – 0.84 [Ref range: 0.35 – 4.94] uIU/ml

Free T4 – 18.92 [Ref Range: 9.01 – 19.05] pmol/l

Free T3 – 5.26 [Ref Range: 2.63-5.70] pmol/l

Dr’s said, Thyroid readings have been going up and down randomly, but not like completely out of range.

S.Magnesium – 0.76 [Ref range 0.70 – 1.00] in mmol/L

CPK – 174 U/l

ANSWER
Hello,
Yes, panic attacks and extreme anxiety are not uncommon in cases where abrupt and prolonged sexual activities discontinuation, combined with lack of any external support for serotonin – GABA nervous modulation, is observed. Statistically, I’d say it’s encountered in about 10 to 20 percent of the cases where the mentioned conditions are met.

You’re right to assume you’re stuck in an overactive sympathetic nervous functioning for increased fight or flight response. In fact, I think I’ve seen similar cases on the forum as I occasionally go through it. Regrettably, I still don’t have the time to answer to the numerous threads there.

Unfortunately, as you have noticed yourself, conventional tests are usually ineffective in detecting the imbalanced state through the inability to monitor neurotransmitter levels in the brain, the wide range of acceptable results, and the flat ratio of hormone-neurohormone-neurotransmitter interactions monitored.

Let me elaborate a bit more on the mentioned condition.

As you’re already well aware of, sexual activities of any kind are known to directly affect one’s dopaminergic system. During these activities, much dopamine is released into the synaptic cleft, where it’s either burned as a fuel for nervous transmission (meaning it’s metabolized through different neuroendocrine circuits during and after usage) or is upregulated. Much of the bioavailable dopamine is also used for dopamine – norepinephrine – epinephrine conversions, as norepinephrine is actually synthesized from dopamine by dopamine beta-hydroxylase (DBH). So, sexual activities are constantly lowering both its bioavailability and respective receptors.

Overactive sexual activities can definitely lead to imbalanced neurotransmitter levels, including dopamine. Same goes for sudden alterations in organism functioning (abstinence) without taking the necessary precautions. As sexual exhaustion sufferers frequently have their nervous modulation imbalanced, any severe increases of dopamine can result in extreme sympathetic functioning through its then constant direct conversion to norepinephrine – epinephrine. Normally, the process is carefully regulated by the serotonin – GABA nervous modulation on excitatory / inflammatory response, meaning that if excessive conversions are detected, the inhibitory GABA (and serotonin through different circuits) will balance organism functioning. However, this is frequently not possible in cases where sexual exhaustion is already present, as it has already drained much of the potential of this modulatory mechanism. That’s one of the reasons why healthy individuals that used to abstain from the beginning (certain religions, etc.), won’t usually have a problem with prolonged abstinence, while masturbation / sex addicts may experience various ill consequences.

Naturally, external activities, such as exercise, may also play their role in balancing dopamine – norepinephrine – epinephrine levels.

Note that excessive dopamine – norepinephrine – epinephrine conversions also happen during sexual activities themselves, with serotonin – GABA nervous modulation spending some of its potential on it. That’s why many individuals may notice anxiety – irritability related issues after. The difference is that the process is self-controlled through the already chronically lowered dopamine levels, the duration of the activity, and prolactin release.

Dopamine – norepinephrine – epinephrine conversions as a result of excessive abstinence is heavier and more drastic in nature. It won’t start to occur until a couple of months into abstinence, during which dopamine levels will go into an all-time high. The extreme conversions will become unavoidable at some point, and will start to show through symptoms of extreme sympathetic functioning. One may even be unable to then masturbate again as every attempt will lead to even excessive dopamine – norepinephrine – epinephrine conversions, which will be too much for his already imbalanced system to handle (given it’s already trying to suppress the increased sympathetic activity) and result in severe panic attacks.

“Should I be worried? Is there any neurological connection between calcium & neurotransmitters imbalance (which I’m facing currently)…?”

Calcium is known to participate in the sympathetic nervous system activation. As you can see here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9534092 (for example), various treatments designed to treat excessive sympathetic nervous functioning, hypertension, and the respective coronary artery disease (mentioned in the study to frequently occur as a result of such – “overactivation of the sympathetic nervous system may lead to hypertension and is involved in heart failure.”) include calcium antagonists.

It’s dangerous to prolong the condition as it’s well known that any kind of neuroplasticity occurs quickly in the presence of heightened excitatory / inflammatory hormone-neurotransmitter levels. It was once a positive evolutionary trait important for fast and proper organism behavioral modulation and adaptation through times of acute stressor exposure. However, similar archaic evolutionary traits can sometimes work against us in modern environments.

I’d suggest addressing the weakened serotonin – GABA nervous modulation first. Particularly useful for this purpose would be 5HTP-Nettle (or L-Tryptophan) and GRB6-GABA (or GRB7-GABA). Simultaneously, you may want to also use Multi-Alpha, Alpha-Amino, Balance-Essentials, and Ultra-Purified-FishOil to additionally improve nervous and endocrine functioning, stabilize acetylcholine, serotonin, dopamine, GABA levels, aid hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal-testicular axis proper functioning, increase androgens, increase elasticity prostaglandin E1 E3 and Nitric Oxide, alter numerous gene expressions, and eventually rewrite the negative neuroplasticity developed.

This case is particularly severe in terms of proper serotonin – GABA nervous modulatory functioning, so I will advise to continue addressing it for at least 3 to 6 months after the complete resolution of your symptoms. It will then be crucial to keep the positive neuroplasticity you’ve created.

Naturally, the usual beneficial practices apply:

* Exercise
Running, in this case, will be beneficial in regards to epinephrine burning and proper parasympathetic functioning restoration. You should be careful not to overdo it, though, as it may result in excessive inflammatory response (especially in this condition).

* Proper diet
Much fiber, fruits, avoid milk with prostaglandin E2 analogs, avoid empty calories and much red meat.

* Negative ion exposure
The general rule is wherever there is water, there are negative ions: rivers, lakes, oceans and ponds, even your own shower.

* Massages
Similar practices definitely have positive effect on local inflammatory processes and help you deal with the excessive sympathetic functioning.

Exception here will be my recommendation of sexual activities discontinuation. I’d actually advise you to masturbate 1 to 3 times per week for the next couple of months.

Please, keep me updated on the case!

Glad if I could help!

UPDATE
Hello Doctor, This is an update for the “Masturbation withdrawal? Extreme anxiety and panic attacks.” Case.
Its been about 1 week into the supplements, I’m taking Multi-Alpha, Alpha Amino, Zeolite, GRB6-GABA, 5-HTP, Balanced Essentials, Fish Body Oil (local).
I’ve noticed quite a lot of improvements:-

Anxiety has decreased by 50%
Depression decreased by 50%
Fatigue/Tiredness has reduced by 75%. I feel a lot more energetic.
Erections are quite strong when laying down, and much better when standing up.
Overall, body fat has been decreasing and Muscle mass has been increasing.
Hair loss has definitely decreased.
Ear Buzzing/Ringing which used to happen sometimes, has diminished.
Urinary urgency has definitely improved by 50% at least.
Chest pains/discomfort have decreased considerably in frequency.
Libido is quite high.

No Improvements:-
Eye floaters & Eye Redness is still there. [This seems to annoy me the most]
Concentration is still kind of lacking, and it’s kind of hard due to Eye floaters.
Excessive Sweating, My Underarms get sweated, when i’m doing nothing at all.
My whole body especially, my head, eyes, spine, lower abdomen feels very heated and warm. What is the reason for this?
I still have broken/light sleep, (Not deep sleep).
Muscle twitches, Random twitches, specially in the legs, thighs, arms which last for 1-3 seconds.
I have a few questions:-

1) I had a wet dream today (7 days into the treatment), which I think is due to excitatory/increased sympathetic function.. as I had trouble sleeping / light sleep that day and once I ejaculated due to that dream (I couldn’t control it), I actually felt a lot sleepy after that and went straight to sleep.. Not sure why….?
2) I’m a college student (A Levels), however I took this year off, just so I could recover and come back strong, would you recommend me currently to study & memorize? I feel like, it could stress me more and slow my recovery? However, I do love enjoying studying, it’s just that I want to recover from this Exhaustion.

3) Eye floaters & Eye redness have been very annoying, what is the reason for this and how much time do you think it will take to resolve? Also, I have yellow color at the corners of my eye balls, however I did check my liver functions around a month ago which were completely fine.. I’m not sure what could be the cause of this?
I got my eyes checked by a vision doctor, when I went into abstinence, The doc said, she couldn’t find anything wrong apart from the redness, which she gave me an anti-histamine drops for, but those just made my eyes a lot dry and not much improvement. She had no clue why I had Alot of Eye floaters.
4) My whole body especially, my head, eyes, spine, lower abdomen feels very heated and warm. What is the reason for this?

5) I have Muscle twitches, which are Random twitches, specially in the legs, thighs, arms which last for 1-3 seconds. No clue about this why? It’s not painful or annoying, just that it’s weird.
6) I’m planning to order more supplements, I ordered only for 2 months at this time, and it takes a lot of time for me to get the supplements, so I’d like to ask how many months supplements should I order? I’ll probably order 6 months of Multi-Alpha, Alpha Amino, Fish Oil, however I’m not sure about GRB6-GABA, Balanced Essentials & 5-HTP.
How many months in total would I probably need to address the GABA-Serotonin modulation? (Around 3-4 months?) and Balanced Essentials, should I take it for 3-4 months? or discontinue it aswell and when?
Lastly I’d like to Thank you so much to you Dr Richards & your team, who made this website, for a very noble cause. You have helped me so much.
Best Regards.

ANSWER
Thank you for your detailed report. I’m certainly glad notable improvements are being observed. Of course, there is still much to be done in regards of proper organism functioning restoration. I’ve gone through the case once again just to make sure I won’t miss anything.

Let me expand really quickly on your initial report.

The reported improvements are usually expected and I must say you’re even going ahead of the curve with many of the symptoms. 50% decrease in major complaints during the first month is usually a very positive sign, although you may notice frequent symptom fluctuations as it is usually how it goes. This means that you may observe symptom improvement ranging anywhere, say, between 20% to 50% with respective “good” and “bad” days. So it might be useful to report the range itself, as it is a more accurate way to judge overall improvement.

Now, let’s get to the symptoms that are not improving and expand on the probable cause for it.

Eye floaters & Eye Redness is still there. [This seems to annoy me the most]

It is actually a very common complaint. The issue here is that the eye floaters, although frequently caused by a range of internal biochemical in nature imbalances, are usually very physical in nature and have protein structures. They will be dissolved eventually but it frequently takes more time.

Concentration is still kind of lacking, and it’s kind of hard due to Eye floaters.

It usually improves on par with symptoms like anxiety and depression. However, it may occasionally lag behind due to temporary fluctuations in dopamine and acetylcholine.

Excessive Sweating, My Underarms get sweated, when i’m doing nothing at all.

It is usually indicative of an ongoing excessive excitatory / inflammatory response so it freqeuntly improves on par with anxiety and depression as well. However, you have reported increased body heat, which may be directly responsible for the symptom and I’ll get back to in in a moment.

4.) My whole body especially, my head, eyes, spine, lower abdomen feels very heated and warm. What is the reason for this?

Similar symptoms are actually not uncommon. The heat is usually caused by a dilation in your blood vessels, which are finally adjusting to a proper way of functioning, getting rid of the previous excitatory / inflammatory narrowness. The increased blood flow to your internal organs and skin is probably creating the warm sensation. Similar responses are usually considered healthy.

I still have broken/light sleep, (Not deep sleep).

This may take a while and can definitely be improved with exercise.

5) Muscle twitches, Random twitches, specially in the legs, thighs, arms which last for 1-3 seconds.

Now, this may be caused by a number of things but is usually related to slight magnesium imbalances.

Now, let me get straight to the rest of your questions:

1) I had a wet dream today (7 days into the treatment), which I think is due to excitatory/increased sympathetic function.. as I had trouble sleeping / light sleep that day and once I ejaculated due to that dream (I couldn’t control it), I actually felt a lot sleepy after that and went straight to sleep.. Not sure why….?

You’re very correct in your assessment. The wet dream should definitely be considered inflammatory / excitatory in nature given it took only 7 days to occur. Even so, proper organism reactions to this orgasm might be expected (especially with improving neurochemical balance during treatment), causing you the natural sleepiness.

2) I’m a college student (A Levels), however I took this year off, just so I could recover and come back strong, would you recommend me currently to study & memorize? I feel like, it could stress me more and slow my recovery? However, I do love enjoying studying, it’s just that I want to recover from this Exhaustion.

Studying and memorizing information can be very demanding indeed. However, I do not believe similar practices can affect the recovery in a major way. It is usually the other way around – you will be unable to concentrate and study productively even if you wanted to.

You may want to take a look at: https://cure-erectile-dysfunction.org/vision-problems-eye-floaters-sexual-activity for this. Generally speaking, it is inflammatory in nature.

As for the yellow color at the corners, it shouldn’t be alarming if it is not that noticeable. Even perfectly healthy individuals may develop such as a result of minor external irritants.

That seems about right. It usually takes 3 to 4 months to address serotonin-GABA nervous modulation in a lasting manner, and is when I usually recommend discontinuing GRB6-GABA and 5HTP-Nettle. Of course, you may want to keep probably a month’s supply on top just in case you need to use it in a supportive manner (if such need is to arise) further down the road.

There shouldn’t be any immediate need to discontinue Balance-Essentials. It’s a very nice formula addressing quite a few major neurotransmitters in the brain in a very balanced manner.

I’d like to thank you for your kind words and assure you it’s always a pleasure.

Be sure to keep me updated on the case.

Glad if I could help!

So here is my problem. I have just a very hard time getting an erection these days. I am 34 and have been actively masturbating since I was 12. My diminished erectile capabilities have been apparent for at least a couple of years.

I have noticed that it is gradually getting worse and I really don’t know what to do. I work in the military so when I got back from a mission in Afghanistan I noticed it was even worse! I didn’t expect it to be worse since I should be all chilled that I’m back on American soil but I’m not at all. Not only that, but I started developing other symptoms along with the ED… I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with PTSD and TBI.

I’m also feeling depressed and anxious all the time. I have do take mood stabilizers and some mild benzo stuff for the depression, chronic insomnia and nightmares. I was also diagnosed for hypertension but I skip taking anything for it.

I was also prescribed Viagra which doesn’t seem to work. I really wonder what is going on because I do love my girlfriend. She is a very pretty lady and I feel sexually attracted to her but I constantly disappoint her mainly because of my erectile dysfunction but my depressive states are not falling that behind. I really feel that my overmasturbation habits have something to do with it because when I get it up and masturbate I end up in horrible conditions and everything I mentioned gets x2 x3 times worse.

Can you suggest some kind of way out for me? Anything I can take to really improve my condition? What does it sound it is?

ANSWER
Let’s begin with the PTSD (Posttraumatic stress disorder) diagnosis. It’s usually just a neuroplasticity issue gone wrong with stress hormones such as norepinephrine, epinephrine and subsequently induced prostaglandin E2 alternating and downgrading Serotonin-GABA nervous receptors structure in the hypothalamus and hippocampus. It’s actually a useful survival mechanism to keep you somewhat chronically alert for extended periods of time but nature hasn’t taken into account the extra burden overactive sexual activities may inflict upon the whole system.

As for the TBI (Traumatic brain injury), it can be caused by either mechanical and/or chemical brain injury. In your case, as you didn’t mention any mechanical damage, I would suspect that is caused by excessive DOPAC, DOPEGAL, Hydrogen Peroxide (H202), norepinephrine, epinephrine, and 5-HIAA.

The erectile dysfunction you describe follows the pattern of PTSD and TBI quite logically with the hypothalamic-pituitary-testicular axis being affected for less androgens to burn. Low androgens level may also contribute to the already mentioned and the other conditions you described in a vicious cycle.

The medication drugs you mentioned you are currently taking are probably aimed at dopamine synthesis reduction, beta-andrenergic receptors blocking, lowering prostaglandins production, and inhibiting serotonin reuptaking.

My solution would be to increase Serotonin-GABA synthesis and presence in the central nervous system which will help control dopamine-norepinephrine conversions without actually having to block dopamine synthesis (as you one of your anti-anxiety medications are probably currently doing), promote parasympathetic and vagal nervous function which will additionally help with sympathetic nervous modulation which is currently exhausting your organism by being overactive. This will also improve your erections through improved NO-cGMP pathway in arteries. Also, the resulting improvement in hypothalamic-pituitady-adrenal-testicular axis in itself will lead to increased androgens and additionally improved NO-cGMP pathway.

You will need Alpha-Amino, Multi-Alpha, GRB7-GABA, L-Tryptophan, Zeolite-DA, and Ultra-Purified-FishOil to gradually rejuvenate your neuro-endocrine function, improve Serotonin-GABA nervous modulation on inflammatory and excitatory response, prevent hypothalamic-noradrenergic sympathetic nervous overheating for prostaglandin E1 E3 production by modulating COX-2 enzyme with high end quality fish oil, modulate proper alpha-adrenergic receptors count and the subsequent proper norepinephrine-epinephrine binding into beta-adrenergic receptors in penile tissues, cleanse your liver and blood, increase prostaglandin E1 E3 and Nitric Oxide for healing, and rewrite the negative neuroplasticity you’ve developed.

You should also:
* Discontinue sexual activities for 1 to 3 months.
* Improve your diet, much cruciferous vegetables should be considered for this specific case (broccoli, brussels sprouts, rappini, bok choi, cabbage, kale, and cauliflower).
* Consider additionally optimizing your androgens levels with various uBreeze.

I’m 29 and it has been 5 years now of liver phase 2 pathway issues – Gilbert’s Syndrome. I suffer from brain fog, depression, candida, herpes, adrenal fatigue, I’m stressed out a lot indicating I have active sympathetic system too. I’ve been trying to treat it for months with antibiotics but not that efficiently. I eat very well but my sexual appetite is still somehow not much. I feel I have energy issues and my sexual desire is closely connected to them. For instance, when I have lots of energy I usually have higher sex drive. Sadly, what usually happens is I go a week or two with little sexual desire with occasional bursts of improved for just one day. I want to keep it!

I’m without a girlfriend for 2 years and am really, really depressed. I just want to have my energy back. I have particular strange panic attacks that tend to happen only during night time and then I take some minerals to calm down.

My question is what should I take to improve upon the condition? I forgot to mention that it’s much worse after I masturbate and that it kind of all began when I was on a masturbation binge for a week, even the Gilbert’s Syndrome worsened much. I want to restore my bigger erections and get my sexual fire back.

ANSWER
You’ve witnessed the destructive consequences of excessive masturbation for yourself. It will worsen any even mild pre-existing condition through the domino effect. Prostaglandin E2 has burned neurons in the hypothalamus, hippocampus, pituitary, and adrenal glands for autoimmune disorders and caused the subsequent neuroplasticity during the low Serotonin-GABA modulatory nervous control functions. Epinephrine, the norepinephrine metabolite, sensitizes, intensifies and enhances the sympathetic nervous action. Panic attacks and anxiety are sympathetic Fight responses. Mood swing or bipolar are frequently derivatives of sympathetic nervous responses.

The first thing to consider is lowering masturbation frequency to once a month during the restoration phase.

A combination of Alpha-Amino, Multi-Alpha, Alpha-HGH, 5HTP-Nettle, GRB6-GABA, and Zeolite-DA will better nervous and endocrine functioning, stabilize acetylcholine, serotonin, dopamine, and GABA levels, detoxify the overburdened liver and positively affect the P450 system, modulate inflammatory response, better hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal-testicular functioning, increase androgens, jump start the CNS, increase prostaglandin E1 E3 and Nitric Oxide production, alter numerous gene expressions, and restore a positive neuroplasticity.

What’s crucial is to restore proper nervous modulation on excitatory and inflammatory response in this case.

When you see most of your symptoms diminished and libido improved, you may consider testicular temperature regulatory practices (uBreeze) to additionally increase androgens as the final straw of the recovery.

Glad if I could help!

Dear Dr. Richards, It has been one month since I started treatment. I want to give you an update on how things are going.
It has been one month since I started treatment. I want to give you an update on how things are going. If you see any course corrections that are necessary, please let me know.

I have been on the following treatment for 1 month:
A-Amino (2/day)
Alpha-HGH (2/day)
GRB6-GABA (2/day)
Griffonia Simplicifolia -5HTP (1/day)
SR-Cream (2/day)
Multi-A (2/day)
Ultra-Purified-FishOil (2/day)
I will continue this for 3 months. Over the next ~1.5 months I will taper the GRB6-GABA and Griffonia Simplicifolia -5HTP.

Here is the way that I plan to taper:

Week 1:
2/day GRB6-GABA
1/day Griffonia Simplicifolia -5HTP

Week 2-3:
1.5/day GRB6-GABA
0.75/day Griffonia Simplicifolia -5HTP

Week 4-5:
1/day GRB6-GABA
0.5/day Griffonia Simplicifolia -5HTP

Week 6-7:
0.5/day GRB6-GABA
0.25/day Griffonia Simplicifolia -5HTP

Starting on month 3, I will be taking the following to be continued indefinitely:
A-Amino (2/day)
Alpha-HGH (4/day)
SR-Cream (2/day)
SF-Liver (2/day)
Multi-A (2/day)
Ultra-Purified-FishOil (3/day)
Vitamin C (Brand and dose to be determined)

Here is the current state of my symptoms:

No pain while touching the erect penis.
Less anxiety. I still feel frequent anxiety (mostly about my recovery process).
I am less anti-social.
Depression is almost completely gone.
Frustration is almost completely gone.
Lessened Obsessive-Compulsive Behavior
I have been somewhat cured of insomnia.
I feel only slightly fatigued.
Collagen bumps seem smaller.
Varicose Veins on the penis are slightly less prominent, those on the scrotum are unchanged.
Quality of the skin on the penis is improving.
Color has return to the top part of the glans partly on the sides.
Penis is slightly larger when flaccid
Testicles are still low-hanging most of the time. They still often seem warmer than they should be.
Warmth has returned to my hands, less noticeably to my feet.
Acne continues to decrease.
Eye floaters are still present.
Frequency of urination has decreased.
Burning sensation when urinating has become very rare and very faint.
Less additional urine leak after urinations, oftentimes none at all.
Impotence is not quite as severe.
Erections are slightly stronger when sitting down, almost as weak and short-lived while standing.
Much sensation has returned to the penis.
My hair has stopped falling out.
Bloating has been significantly reduced.
Stool quality seems to have stopped improving. It is generally poor.

I will elaborate in some areas:

The treatment has done a phenomenal job at decreasing depression. Before treatment, I would prefer to be alone all the time and have extremely negative and obsessive-compulsive thoughts. I can legitimately say that I am somewhat happy for the first time since I can remember. I have an abundance of good feelings. I would rather be with friends than be by myself, however I usually don’t act on this because I don’t feel like communicating with other people most of the time. One exception is that I sometimes feel sadness and depression during and after light exercise.

The treatment has also done a good job with anxiety. I used to feel very anxious literally all the time. There was no escape from the suffering it cause except by sleeping or masturbating. Now, I’d say my anxiety has been reduced to about 35% of what it was previously. Although this is very impressive, I have a feeling it is not enough. The anxiety is still constant, although greatly reduced. I am having extreme difficulty reducing it to zero. If I become completely calm, it’s usually because I briefly forgot about the anxiety. As soon as I realize I am calm, I feel anxious again. In my experience, anxiety is associated with loss. In this case, I am becoming anxious about becoming too anxious and ruining my chances at recovery, which ironically could ruin my recovery. Being in college, I have many tasks that have to be executed at certain times, and so I am anxious about failing to do a task on time or doing an unsatisfactory job. I also think boredom is a big contributor, because I feel trapped with nothing to do (losing the opportunity to do anything enjoyable).

In particular, I am having trouble with sexual anxiety. When I don’t have an erection, I am worried that the treatment is not working and I am not being restored properly. When I do have an erection, I am worried about it not being at full strength and about losing it which would indicate the treatment is not working (which of course eventually I do). I know this makes no sense at all, but this is my thought process. Whenever my thoughts become sexual, I have heightened anxiety focused on the state of my member. One time per week I have been masturbating to pornography. 2 out of 3 times I was anxious and felt I was in the “fight and flight” regime. One time out of 3 I was mostly relaxed and I believe I achieved the deep sort of orgasm which is usually only possible through sex. In my experience, this is only possible with porn.

One correlation I have found is that if I am feeling depressed, I am not feeling as anxious. If I am feeling anxious, I am not feeling as depressed. If it is any indication, my resting heart rate (while sitting down) is about 63 bpm. Before treatment it was about 75 bpm. If you have any advice on how to stop the anxiety, please share. Perhaps I am blowing this out of proportion, since I do estimate it has been reduced 65% and you have said it is expected to decrease even more as I get healthy.

Regarding your suggestions on physical growth, I am planning to implement most of them in two months after I move from college back home for the summer. I have begun most of the dietary restrictions and started to take cool showers. I am still doing light exercise. I haven’t taken any massages yet because they are too pricy. I will try to get one or two in before I end the 5 HTP and GABA.

ANSWER
I appreciate the detailed report since every single minor detail may prove indicative of internal processes taking place.
It certainly sounds that you’re progressing as expected. The notable improvement is what is expected for the initial period.

“One correlation I have found is that if I am feeling depressed, I am not feeling as anxious. If I am feeling anxious, I am not feeling as depressed.”

The correlation you’ve found indicates the biochemical nature of your anxiety. Since you’re less anxious when depressed, the most probable cause of the anxiety (and as suspected) should be the improper nervous modulation on dopamine-norepinephrine-epinephrine conversions and other inflammatory and stress related (and not only) processes. Basically you’re low on dopamine in the brain during the stages of increased depression, which limits the conversion to norepinephrine and leaves you less anxious but depressed (since both dopamine and norepinephrine are important mood and energy modulators). During the anxiety stages is the other way around.

The anxiety you describe is quite typical and I can see the logic behind the thought patterns. Rest assured, 65% improvement is more than what is expected for the elapsed time frame. Although it’s not that vital, I would encourage you to rest during the periods of depression and train right before the anxiety related ones if possible.

5HTP-Nettle and GRB6-GABA discontinuation should be gradual as listed. However, if anxiety and depression are still present during the discontinuation I would encourage you to delay it for at least 1 to 2 months.

Please, keep me updated on the case.

Glad if I could help!

It has come to my attention that GRB6-GABA really did a great job with my chronic anxiety and scattered sleep patterns although I am not sure if it was this product alone since I was taking also Multi-Alpha and Alpha-Amino. So I stumbled on an article that explains GABA can’t penetrate the blood brain barrier. I really don’t get it, why is it working? I sleep so much better and I am actually smarter! My skills in chess have improved dramatically! Many of my patients could use this product. Especially those with anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue or basically any condition with an excess sympathetic nervous system (which are many). This product will help with sleep and stress management and much more.
Glad to hear you’re improving.
Indeed, the processing of GRB6-GABA is probably the most complex of all the products available. It works fine through its similar nature to Picamilon and even adds up to the effect through the other ingredients to support proper parasympathetic functioning.

I started masturbating very early when Iwas 8 and experienced horrible anxiety and premature ejaculation at my 20ties of which I never fully recovered.I must say that this combination is a psych-killer because I’m anxious to make sex with a woman because I’m anxious generally and because I know I know I can’t satisfy her with my PE symptoms.
I found your site 3 months ago and I should have probably asked for advice before started taking your medications but I was too anxious to expect an email and the thought of it would have freaked me out every time I was about to check it. You see how bad it was at the time, so I started taking Multi-Alpha, Alpha-Amino, GRB6-GABA, Griffonia simplicifolia – 5HTP and Ultra-Purified-FishOil since I saw you recommending it to cases similar to mine.

I must say this combination did fix my premature ejaculation and anxiety to let’s put it about 70% degree. Don’t get me wrong I’m getting better every day so hopefully I will recover fully. But then I’m still experiencing low libido and I think it’s gotten even lower, pretty much this is why i’m writing to you. Is it normal? How do I unlock the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal-testicular axis you talk about if it’s been locked??? What should I do doctor??

I thank you for everything!
J.M.

ANSWER
Early sexual self-abuse is extremely harmful for ones overall development through puberty and usually results in long-term consequences if not addressed properly and in a timely manner.

The lowered libido you’re experiencing is to be expected. I’m not sure which cases you’re referring to but this combination is considered the proper one for the initial phase of recovery until proper Serotonin-GABA nervous modulation on inflammatory response has been restored.

Upon proper full nervous modulation restoration you should slowly discontinue 5HTP-Nettle and GRB6-GABA. You should then add Alpha-AGH for androgens levels boost while at the same time you’ve ensured you won’t be experiencing any PSAS related symptoms and risking any relapse. It’s usually how this works and what I recommend in similar cases.

After symptom improvement is observed you may want to consider uBreeze to additionally increase androgens. Stronger erections will actually result in prolonged act through the slight penile numbing effect.

Glad if I could help!

I also was smoking marijuana from age 16-18 regularly and blamed all my symptoms on that so I quit. After a year of quitting and buying all types of supplements along the way I never got back to normal. I’m not impotent or anything I still have sex with my girlfriend (though I do finish much quicker than I use to). Most of my symptoms have been anxiety attacks and not being able to handle any stress, caffeine, marijuana, potassium, or a lot of sugar. I just overall feel like my body is just weaker in general. I also feel like I don’t sleep as well as I constantly dream. Probably the most irritating symptom is this tingling sensation in my back that won’t go away!! It’s localized to the upper right hand side of my back. I also get muscle twitches all over and have lost some lust for life. I’m going to college in september and don’t want to feel this way for that, it’s too much stress. When I tried to explain things to my doctor he acted like I was just trying to get drugs out of him. Helpppppp pleaseeee. I’ve done a lot of research and have realized for about a year I was in fight or flight mode for te most part as i was working smoking doing school work hanging out with my girlfriend masturbating, I just wore myself out. I’ve tried to stop masturbating for the most part, but still haven’t gotten better. I do get dazed easily now too. Thank you for taking your time to read this I really appreciate it

ANSWER
The symptoms listed are indicative of improper acetylcholine, serotonin, and dopamine nervous functioning.
Street drugs and excessive sex are extremely destructive. Both directly or indirectly alternate the gene and enzyme expressions for physiological and psychological disorders.

Drug abuse and over-masturbation kills proper sexual and orgasmic functions which results in numerous disorders. For best results, one would need to address the symptoms correctly to avoid any negative feeback reactions.

A combination of Multi-Alpha, Zeolite-DA, Alpha-Amino, 5HTP-Nettle, GRB6-GABA, and Ultra-Purified-FishOil will stabilize nervous and endocrine functioning, restore proper serotonin, dopamine, acetylcholine, and GABA levels, modulate inflammatory and stress response, detoxify and restore proper liver P450 functioning, stabilize androgens levels, rewrite the developed negative neuroplasticity, and alter numerous gene expressions for nervous and endocrine restoration.

Also, beneficial will prove to be: proper diet, light to moderate exercise, negative ion exposure, positive attitude, massages, and healthy lifestyle overall.

Glad if I could help!

Hi Dr. Richards, Your my last hope. I’m going crazy, I’m not happy at all. Ive become insecure with myself, and its affecting every aspect of my life. I’ve also noticed that im more afraid, like of little things and things that happen around me. Its not normal, I’ve never been a person that’s frighten of things easily. My life has turned into a living hell. I’m sorry this may be a long mail but I’d feel more comfortable with your answer if I told you all the details as best I could as you will not be psychically examining me.

I have been masturbating since about 12-13 years old. It was very little in the beginning but as time past it also began to increase. From once every so often in the beginning to about 4 times a day sometimes in the later ages 18-20. I think it increased cause i was sexually frustrated. I have had sex every so often but it has never been a regular thing for me even though i feel i am very sexually hungry. My morals have never let me be with somebody just for sex, and I’ve never been able to get away from this. I’ve never had problems getting an erection or maintaining an erection for any reason before my problem took place. I could get an erection instantly (a minute or 2) after i have ejaculated and could get an erection as many times as i had energy left in me. When i was about 20-21 i started to feel some pain in my left Spermatic cord while ejaculating. Saw the doctors and at a point they told me it was swollen and gave me some tablets (cant remember the name), It passed but was back every so often.

So.. I’m away at university and live alone, very stressed cause I’m away from the miss and because of my studies. I masturbate to relief myself from sexual urges and also cause I’m so stressed because of university and it gave me a sense of relief from stress it self. I would like to give you a little history on how i was feeling before i suffered from the issue that caused me erectile dysfunction.

Some days i masturbated about 3-4 times a day. At a point i started to feel really tired, had problems sleeping (even though I’ve always had problems sleeping), not enough sleep, lack of concentration, couldn’t study for university, always too tired to even get up, felt like lying down all the time, started to be forgetful (before this my memory was very strong, would never forget anything no matter how little of importance it had). I had neck pains and lower back pains as well. My vision has got bad as well i wear glasses now’ cant see far. I don’t know if it has anything to do with the issue but i thought ill mention it in case it might. Had problems talking to people and making friends, found it hard to express myself to people when i was talking to them. (I’ve never had problems making friend before ever, i feel like I’ve always been a person that has been liked) I started to even have problems talking, i wouldn’t be able to say words i could say easily before, sometimes stuttering.

One night I’m really frustrated from no sexual activity and university stress cause I’m not able to get work done because of some of the causes above. I don’t want to masturbate cause i felt that me masturbating so much may be the cause of all the problems i suffered from. But ended up not being able to prevent myself… I got angry with myself and ended up trying to finish off as fast as possible and i was a bit rude too. Then i laid down on my front (face down) (after ejaculation) to watch a film to get my mind off of stress and sexlessness.

Then Suddenly i felt a sharp pinching type of a pain just above the penile gland in the middle ( where the glans just starts). I instantly got up and un-down my jeans and looked at it… In the spot where the pain was what looked like a clot in the vein and formed a spider web like vein around it. That actual vein wasn’t there before the pain. From then i massaged the area a lot but it still hurt every now and then that very night. I tried to urinate but it stung. It began to look dead (it just hung down)and felt cold and numb. I rubbed it and massaged it as often as possible but with the fright of doing more damage. After a day or so I felt pains on the side of my penis too (left side, towards the middle and leading to the bottom of the shaft). I was really worried and i felt like i should check if it is still working and i masturbated. I guess that was a bad idea too and the pains got worse. I left it alone from then on for about a week. But i had problems sleeping cause of the pain, i sleep face down (cant sleep any other way) and the pain in the penis caused me to wake a lot in the night.

From then on I stopped getting morning wood and had to some what psychically make myself get an erection rather than it happening automatically when i was sexually aroused. I started to ejaculate in like 30 seconds ( premature ejaculation began as well)Where I was able to last at least 20 minutes before.

Ive been seeing a Urologist at my local hospital for over 1.5 years. They have done Ultrasound scans, and i was told that there wasn’t any sufficient damage (i guessed that meant there wasn’t any damage that could have caused erectile dysfunction) so i left it at that. But i was still not getting erections and was suffering from pain. I had some testosterone count test and it was found that my testosterone was a little low but it wasn’t a big issue and i just needed go to the gym a bit. There was no problems with my blood test as well.

They gave me some cialis to take, I’m taking 2.5mg daily (half a 5mg tablet). I am able to get erections with as little as that. But its still hard to get a full erection while standing. Ive noticed that my penis size has become smaller when erected and bigger while at flaccid state. It also gets hard while in the flaccid state and becomes painful. I’ve also noticed that my corpus spongiosum (urethra) out line isnt visible when erected anymore, it practically disappears from like 2 inch from the base upwards. I urinate about 30 degrees to the left rather than straight like i use to. I find it hard to push urine out and always feel that there is more… which i cant get out. And Finally i have a lot of spider veins that have formed on my penis that were not there before (large and small). The doctor didn’t notice any scar forming and i haven’t too so far. But it does then bend downwards when trying to get an erection and bends towards the right from halfway of the penis every 4 months or so of which i massage back to making it straight. The skin on my penis has also seemed to thin.

Please help… I’m in hell. My circumstance is really affecting my life and my relationship as well i don’t want my relationship to deteriorate cause of this..Its already effected it so much already..I love the person im with and we were thinking of marriage before this problem occurred but now.. it just seems like its something she doesn’t want to talk about anymore.. Please don’t be a scam … Sorry if i offended you. But there are a lot of lying people on the internet just to sell their products and give false hope. Your my last hope PLEASE HELP.
ANSWER
Hello,
Physical and psychological health are interrelated. The ill over masturbation practices burned vital neurochemicals faster than the body can restore. The symptoms experienced: tiredness, insomnia, lack of concentration, memory problems, and neck and back pains are indicative of abnormal serotonin, acetylcholine, dopamine, and GABA levels for improper functioning and depression. The body pains as well as spermatic cord inflammation are a direct result of excessive inflammatory response for increased local prostaglandin E2, cortisol, and even epinephrine.

Once in a state of similar imbalance, ones penis becomes easily injurable through the abnormal local levels of elasticity prostaglandin E1 E3, Nitrix Oxide, and androgens to modulate penile tissue health. Inflammatory response and collagen tissue release would be induced by masturbation alone. An excessive tissue inflammation may also severely inflame and damage veins in the area, impairing their proper functioning and worsening the condition. As in the specific case, the veins will become prominent and varicosed. The inflammation usually damages tunica albuginea or/and corpus spongiosum so the penis will rely solely on the two corpora cavernosa for erectile functioning preservation.

Such traumas should heal over time if properly addressed. Much blood flow to the area is essential for healing. There are several agents that will better sexual functions and are responsible for penile tissue health and integrity. A combination of Multi-Alpha, Alpha-Amino, Alpha-AGH, and Ultra-Purified-FishOil will promote heightened androgen levels and elasticity prostaglandin E1 E3 and Nitric Oxide for healing. In the specific case, one should also stabilize serotonin-GABA nervous modulation on inflammatory response with 5HTP-Nettle and GRB6-GABA.

SR-Cream should be locally applied to additionally address the issue as well as possible. Any internal mild hematomas or collagen scar tissue will be dissolved.

Also, testicular cooling solutions (uBreeze) for additionally increased androgens are to be considered.

Also, beneficial will prove to be: light to moderate exercise, massages, penile hot wraps, positive attitude, negative ion exposure, and proper diet.

Glad if I could help!

I am 22 years old and started masterbating early in life. In the last 2 years I really over did it and began to experience some weird stuff. First I stopped getting any morning or nighttime erections. Then when I would have sex with girls I would usually have trouble getting an erection and if I did it often went limp. And then to make matters worse I started having severe PE sometimes less then ten seconds. This is when I knew something was wrong because the first couple years that I had sex it would take me forever to ejaculate. I did not know what to do and went to several doctors. All of them told me it was mental and not to stress. I would get so mad because I am not someone who gets performance anxiety…..I LOVE SEX! After several months some new symptoms started to arrive. I began to feel depressed, anxious, and one day out of nowhere started to urinate up to 12 times per day! I began to do more research and found your site along with a different sexual exhaustion site run by some guy named Dr. Lin. I read every single article on both yours and his site and everything came together and absolutely explained my symptoms. Of course I am very scared that iv ruined my life and will do anything it takes to get better. I have some questions

1) which products do you recommend for my case?

2) since acetycholine is the main neurotransmitter on the parasympathetic nervous system should someone supplement with alpha gpc or cdp choline to increase it?

3) Since part of the problem is low androgens wouldn’t it be beneficial to take something like clomid or HCG along with your treatment? Iv seen you recommend it to others who have testosterone below 300 but couldn’t it help people with higher testosterone as well?

4) also the one part i don’t understand behind the whole sexual exhaustion situation is this
“low levels of dopamine, and excessive prolactin that shuts down the testicular function, leading to failure in the parasympathetic nervous recharging system.”

Does this mean that testosterone plays some role in fixing the parasympathetic nervous system? Can you please explain this to me. I understand the role of the neurotransmitters but fail to understand the role of testosterone.
Thank you Dr. Richards your site has given me hope that my life is still salvageable.

Yours truly,
Alex

ANSWER
Alex,

Yes, through over active sexual activities, genetic, and lifestyle factors you’ve depleted vital neurochemicals and are currently experiencing the consequences.

Given the specific problems I would say that you suffer from abnormal serotonin, dopamine, acetylcholine, and GABA levels, as well as improper nervous modulation on inflammatory response.

“1) which products do you recomend for my case?”

For the specific case, a combination of: Alpha-Amino, Multi-Alpha, 5HTP-Nettle, GRB6-GABA, and Ultra-Purified-FishOil will better nervous and endocrine functioning, stabilize proper acetylcholine, serotonin, dopamine, and GABA levels, aid proper modulation on inflammatory response, stabilize proper hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal-testicular functioning, increase androgens, alter numerous gene expressions, and rewrite the developed negative neuroplasticity.

After you’ve observed symptoms improvement you may want to consider using uBreeze for additionally increased androgens. Improved erectile power will actually slightly desensitize the penis and address the symptoms experienced.

“2) since acetycholine is the main neurotransmitter on the parasympathetic nervous system sould someone supplement with alpha gpc or cdp choline to increase it?”

One may supplement with the substance and experience positive results, in fact, there are quantities of choline in Male-Multi-Alpha. However, for this case, important is considered the proper serotonin-GABA modulation on inflammatory response for proper cortisol, glutamate, prostaglandin E2, histamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine levels and control over the excessive dopamine-norepinephrine-epinephrine conversions.

“3)Since part of the problem is low androgens wouldnt it be beneficial to take something like clomid or HCG along with your treatment? Iv seen you recomend it to others who have testosterone below 300 but couldnt it help people with higher testosterone as well?”

An optimum line to the effect is usually present. Basically, the higher the natural testosterone, the less beneficial will clomid prove to be, as far as the recovery goes.

“4) also the one part i dont understand behind the whole sexual exhaustion situation is this “low levels of dopamine, and excessive prolactin that shuts down the testicular function, leading to failure in the parasympathetic nervous recharging system.” Does this mean that testosterone plays some role in fixing the parasympathetic nervous system? Can you please explain this to me. I understand the role of the neurotransmitters but fail to understand the role of testosterone.”

Yes, androgens and testosterone in particular are crucial for proper functioning. Less androgens to modulate inflammatory response, testicular tissue health, insulin resistence, energy levels, tissue and testicular health, proper nts. and hormonal conversions, and neurotransmitters homeostasis will result in numerous imbalances.

I now see frequent masturbation is the cause of all of my symptoms. I have trouble concentrating, hair loss around my right temple, social anxiety(which i did not use to have), excessive sweating even when its not hot. I frequently feel like people are looking at me when I walk down the street even though they aren’t. All my friend smoke weed everyday but none of them have any of these problems. Their very outgoing and don’t have any hair loss. I have stopped masturbating for five days and I won’t do it again until I get better. I just started taking choline, burdock root, and st. johns’s wort. Can I possible get better while still smoking weed or will have to quit that for a while until i balance out. Also, i’m really self conscious about the hair since I’m 20 and in college. I really need advice.

ANSWER
One would have to discontinue marijuana and psychotic drug usage to stabilize proper nervous and endocrine functioning.

The concentration problems, social anxiety, and excessive sweating , for the specific case, are a probable result of a weak serotonin-GABA nervous modulation on inflammatory response for excessive histamine, glutamate, prostaglandin E2, cortisol, and norepinephrine levels.

The hair loss could be contributed to numerous factors, however, for the specific case, excessive testosterone-DHT conversions and aromatase expression and activity should be suspected.

The feeling that people are constantly looking at you could be contributed to fluctations of dopamine levels in the brain.

UPDATE
Hi,
Okay so first of all, I want to tell you that I went through the same path as yours. Really, it’s like I could have written this topic five years ago. I was smoking more than a and masturbating twice, and sometime but rarely, thrice a day. For like what … 5 or 6 years also.

And my situation was even worse, I underachieved high school at this time and was without job all along. (Living on social assistance) Imagine the shame I was bearing along on streets and the fear I had to talk to anybody and finish by telling them I was living by their taxes, a heavy smoker, without any diploma and living on my mother basement. I felt like a pathetic wimp, it was awful believe me…

I don’t intend to boast at all, just to encourage you and show you that you could “really” get through this.
You should see where I am now ! Walking tall, sober and clean, talkative, at university, meeting women, no more anxious, much more (relatively) controlled on my sex drive, smiling, confident, healthy, and a goddamn respectful person that doesn’t judge anybody since I know what I’ve been through and that sometimes some folks needs help instead of being treated as they doesn’t deserve. Women will like your strength of wisdom. Everybody admire social maturity.

Want a hint, Vitamin B Complex could help. It did on my case… (It’s a Cortisol matter… it’s gonna help you on high stress), find yourself crutches, could be anything, chewing gum, cigarettes * if you smoke (which is bad for health also but less harmful for brain at long term…)Start to read, write, get in shape, find hobbies, dress up a little bit more classy some days, take walk, take vitamins, fix yourself a life project, dream, …

TRUST ME! Because what happened to me at first is that, I was starting to feel oddly anxious while I was smoking during my stand-up phase. It was something in my stomach that didn’t feel right… I was having bad self-conscious ideas, hurting myself on my deepest thoughts (more than I usually did)… Until it became undeniably physiologic. So I decided to quit once and for all… Like that, cold turkey… It didn’t frame on the vision I was raising anymore. (Still “entirely” clean today)

So, came the second obstacle: You guessed it, (The friends). Expect reactions from them, because they won’t stay indifferent about your decision that’s for sure. According to their personalities, straight-edges will be proud of you (over months/years …), some will be pissed, some will fear (so avoid) you over time (you may surpass them on your evolution)it’s hard for them to take it (really), the greatest will stay cool and respect your path, and you may realize that some relationships were only drug related…

You’ll get your sanity back, your social disorder is reversible. (I am a living proof). As long as you act before it’s too late. The much important thing is that you realized that your life turned weird and you are willing to get through a decent life. So you will.

So go ahead, get a grip, you’ll be very proud of you.

P.s.: Don’t worry about the hair it’s totally another issue.
It didn’t happen to me but losing some hair over age is natural.
It’s mostly genetic and some girls don’t bother at all.
If it turns to be really major, you could shave your head with a
clipper at “0”.

I am 54 and I have a BSc in Biochemistry and so I am able to ingest most of what is written within these explanations of various sexual problems.

I am on SSRIs and have been for years now and of course, I suffer somewhat from a depressed libido as expected but what I have read here about this process and the indicated permanent damage to the brain’s pathways which can result, I now find myself somewhat concerned. I have over the years tried to wean off of SSRIs but found I simply cannot, which is depressing in itself. Is there any reassurance for someone in my condition..??? Also, I might add that I have always been very sexually active from an early age and wonder now if this conduct has by itself, caused additional problems, as in possibly being linked to the depression and anxiety issues I now suffer from in these later years..???

Your thoughts on these matters would be most appreciated.

Sincerely,
Ron Hicks.

ANSWER
Ron,
It is unfortunate that the “healing” properties of the SSRIs and high remission rates are frequently a result of a newly developed neuroplasticity for abnormal neurostransmitter neuronal interconnections and functioning. Numerous symptoms and issues may occur through and after the usage of SSRIs and SNRIs.

“Is there any reassurance for someone in my condition..???”

Yes, however, you would have to eventually discontinue SSRIs usage. The unfortunate fact is that many patients who developed forms of erectile dysfunction as a result of a chronic SSRIs or SNRIs usage do not fully recover(about 20 to 25%). However, even so, satisfactory results are more than achievable.

“Also, I might add that I have always been very sexually active from an early age and wonder now if this conduct has by itself, caused additional problems, as in possibly being linked to the depression and anxiety issues I now suffer from in these later years”

It’s a possibility.

Glad if I could help!
