Hi,
Please help me.
Im going to keep this short as possible.
I came across PMO when I was 15 and have been doing it until now, I’m 21. Its something which I am ashamed of and always felt guilty about although it never used to give me any issues and I always used to feel refreshed afterwards. Never had sex, virgin. I’m about 9 stones 1 lbs in weight.
Over the years I can tell that I got addicted and I tried several times to leave the P the M and the O but I always failed. I think the longest I got to was 15 days and the urge was crazy for me to resist. I always thought and knew I was doing something bad but I’d always been told at school that there is nothing wrong with PMO and that its good for you.
My normal frequency would be daily, to long edging sessions to release right at the end, I would waste hours going from video to video. Most days were once, occasionally 2 or 3 times in a day and sometimes none in a day but the last two were rare. During the first 4 years everything was fine. It’s just this last year of 2014 at which everything’s gone wrong. At this time my life was hectic, I was working hard on my business from home. University, assignments, my diet was extremely poor now that I think of it. I skipped breakfast or simply had nothing nutritional in my breakfast most days just a cup of tea if I did decide to have anything. Im bombarded by pressure from my parents and brothers to get a job etc. Now to the story:
Early 2014 I had a flight to catch and that morning I did a PMO with again no breakfast or simply rubbish foods, the pressure of getting to the airport etc. gave me what I now realise looking back my first taste of an anxiety/panic attack which lasted a few hours. I got over it quickly and I was running back to normal with the constant lifestyle and PMO.
Prior to the start of June I had exams and the poor lifestyle continued. Prior to my Exam in the morning as usual did a PMO which resulted in me almost running out of the exam which I now looking back at again was a result of PMO and panic and anxiety. I don’t know how but I managed to sit through the exam and ended up getting an A+ grade. My PMO and lifestyle continued after this and I had no issues and once again was back to normal. Looking back I should have taken these as crucial signs but I didn’t at the time. At no point in time did I think or care what caused this issue and simply put it down to nerves.
At this point I had been on holiday for a month and a half. Fast-forwarding until June of 2014; 2 weeks prior to restarting University. The PMO continued without any issues, looking back now I can see that my health started to decline as I got closer to what I call the crisis which took place in July of 2014. I had decided to go on a fast for a few days which didn’t include a PMO but on the fifth day in the morning I ended up PMO’ing. Later that night I had to go to hospital for no apparent reason. I had headache, low mood, dry skin, fatigue, shaking, hot and cold flashes, abdominal discomfort, my heart beat and BP was all over the place. I was told nothing was wrong and that it was dehydration. I was put on saline and was sent home. What I do notice looking at my blood work from that day is that my potassium was on the higher end and my sodium was quite low which made me thing about adrenal fatigue or Addison’s disease etc. but ill talk about that later. So this experience seemed to have increased my anxiety. But looking back it seemed that my body was constantly being drained of vital nutrients over time leading up to the event.
After returning from the hospital it took much longer for me to get my health back, and I didn’t PMO for about 3 weeks into uni and I was fatigued, tired and stressed. I happened to start feeling better abstaining from the PMO which at that time I again didn’t realise. Back to the next few PMO’s and that was it, extreme headaches, couldn’t move from my bedroom to my brothers room. Fatigue, eye floaters, brain fog, weak muscles, dry skin, nausea you name it. I ended up going to my doctor who checked for things like parasites, celiac disease. But didn’t find anything, he told me to come back but I didn’t end up going back, more on that later. When he told me they couldn’t find anything over the phone a few days later the severe anxiety set in because I didn’t know what was happening to me and that I would be this burnt-out for the rest of my life because nothing was getting better. I think at this stage maybe I did develop an anxiety problem caused from my poor health and worry that I wouldn’t be able to please a women. That night I did another PMO and another one right after and no sperm came out I was dry. A few hours later and it literally sent me into severe anxiety, insomnia, crying at night, anorexia (unable to eat), and decreased appetite, sex drive and libido had gone. The majority of symptoms lasted about a week and a half when I researched online and I came across YBOP and reditt etc. and it just made so much sense everything seemed to click and I thought rite I’ll do the reboot and I’ll be fine. It was 5 years of non-stop PMO, porn addiction, masturbation addiction all adding up. I used to PMO to any feeling I felt sad, happy, excited, to waste time from boredom etc.
I decided to reboot. I decided to lower all stress and since I was now back on holiday there was no university. I started having good breakfast, eggs, seeds, dates etc left all sugary foods, just improved my lifestyle on a whole and started sleeping earlier. Over the first reboot it made a huge difference.
I ended up doing roughly 90 days free from PMO cold turkey on my first go. The first 2 weeks of it I experience massive withdrawal symptoms, all the ones you can think of. It was horrible. I was in a massive flatline, no penis response, no morning erections. The symptoms gradually decreased and improved up until day 43 which I noticed a major change and I slowly started seeing morning erections and sensitivity in the penis. Depression had gone after about the 3rd week into it but the Severe Anxiety remained. Everything seemed to be getting better and I was feeling better and better as the days went by. At about days 50 or so the anxiety lifted off and I was back to my normal self with only very minor symptoms such as lethargy. Day 75 arrived when I had my first wet dream and I felt amazing after it. No anxiety no symptoms, everything had cleared and I experienced no post wet dream orgasm ejaculation symptoms. Every day I was having morning wood. I felt amazing. Back to normal. I continued the reboot for another 20 or so days I promised myself to continue the reboot and do no more PMO related activities but I was naive and somehow ended up back to edging which I did for about 11 days without orgasm just P & M. the edging was too intense and I gave in and orgasmed & ejaculated a huge amount whilst lying down edging to my phone in bed (something which I hadn’t done prior to those 11 days). The thing that triggered it was seeing news of a new pornstar on facebook. I felt fine after that orgasm but did feel guilty of letting myself relapse. I didn’t have symptoms so I slept well through the night. This first reboot did include lots of fantasies and long edging sessions towards the end so it wasn’t a pure reboot The following day I felt a little lethargic but I thought that’s fine none of the symptoms have returned. I was happy, I was back to normal, little did I know come 7pm when I started to have dinner, I was happily talking to a family member and then something in my brain flicked a switched and anxiety returned right there and then out of nowhere. I had to get up luckily I had eaten most of my food so nothing looked fishy to my family members the headaches returned and the lethargy, and low moods and the fluctuating energy levels. But this time no loss of appetite or insomnia. This time it wasn’t however as severe as the first time. But still very bad. The only time I had insomnia was the period I mentioned earlier prior to my first reboot. And some during the withdrawal phases of the first reboot.
As a result I started another reboot from the next morning and it has now been 25 days PMO free and this time I have eliminated any form of sexual thought as well as not looking at women on the street. The first 20 days were tough with anxiety, if there’s no anxiety then depressed mood, or fatigue, lethargy. But it’s taken much less time to start feeling a little bit better than the first reboot which I’m taking as a positive sign. I hope it all goes away and I’m thinking of going as long as I can this time without any form of sexual thought or activity.
What I have noticed over the last 150 days or so is that 95% of my anxiety always however tends to go away after 6pm and my energy levels drastically increase after that time. During the days it’s very tough and I feel fatigued and the energy levels are low, but after 6pm it’s like I get a second wind of energy and I feel fine. I also have noticed that I crave more salt. And I’m thirstier. In the early stages of the reboot I also noticed dryer skin. And I have dry skin patches behind my ear. Do you think this could be adrenal fatigue or insufficiency? Maybe my adrenals can no longer produce cortisol properly?
Also like to say that my hair has gradually started to fall out from the very first incident and is very brittle.
I also noticed that over the last year prior to all this started I notice I have a varicocele on my left testicle, it’s not too big but it is visible and you can feel it when the scrotum is soft and warm. I did read somewhere that a varicocele can cause the testicle to overheat which results in low testosterone and poor sperm production, thus resulting in symptoms similar to the ones I experienced. Could this be causing problems me anxiety after orgasm or ejaculation? Maybe testosterone drops too low?
I have not taken any supplements and am not sure if I should as I’m not a fan of popping pills etc. I need to fix my body because I want to get married soon. I don’t have problems with erections at the moment it’s just when I ejaculate or orgasm that creates issues of mainly anxiety. I feel so bad that ive ruined my body and the thought of this makes me feel down. Because of my issues a girl I used to like alot just got married to someone else and that’s put even more pressure on me and I feel so down and bad about this. This has just made things worse. I fear I can’t get a girl now because I won’t be able to satisfy her but my parents will push me to get married in about a year or maybe 2 years’ time.
I also notice that when I last PMO’d and times before that towards the latter years I get a rush of adrenaline similar to when you get frightened rather than a pleasure feeling when I look at PMO. Do you think looking at porn and over masturbation can cause these issues because it’s different from normal sex?
I haven’t had real sex so don’t know if I would have symptoms after that. Same goes for masturbation without porn, haven’t tried that either. And when I do orgasm/ejaculate through masturbation it’s normally after a long edging session. And why it is that wet dreams don’t give me any symptoms.

Sorry for such a long story:
I know I have asked some questions above but I have tried to summarise them below:
1. Is this sexual exhaustion where my nervous systems are so battered from all the PMO?
2. How do I regain the ability to have no symptoms a day after ejaculation which last so long? In other words how to I go back to being normal? (Im sure if I did more O’s at once the symptoms would be much more severe)
3. Should I go to the doctor again? I have resisted as he will probably prescribe me SSRI’s or something which will not solve the problem.
4. Why is there no symptoms after a wet dream but only when I PMO?
5. Should I have my bloods done to see if there are any deficiencies?
6. Is my varicocele and low testosterone a possible cause?
7. Could I have adrenal fatigue, Addison’s disease adrenal insufficiency or some sort of thyroid problem? Perhaps the adrenals are being pushed to their limits and can’t work properly from so much stress caused to them over time? (thyroid problems run in my family)
8. If in the first reboot I noticed so much improvement what do you advise?
9. Are there any similar conditions to mine?
10. Have people recovered?

Please help
Hi,

Simple question.

SHORT STORY:
1. I kept masturbating daily, sometimes a few more times a day, max probably 3 times a day but that’s very rare.
2. Always to porn usually, sometimes no porn, death-grip, long edging sessions that went maybe a few hours sometimes, normally when Id wake up in the morning or before I went to sleep.
3. Did it for 5 years. Tastes started at plain vanilla stuff and over the years got more intense. Some videos stopped appealing to me towards the end of the 5 year period. I always looked for more arousing stuff.
4. Searching for videos and waking up and thinking lets have a porn session use to give me a massive adrenaline rush always.
5. Orgasm/Ejaculation never used to give me any issues 6. Symptoms gradually crept up on me without me noticing after each orgasm/ejaculation/porn session.
7. for about 2 months symptoms got worse and worse after each PMO.

8. Then one day I did as usual another PMO and this time got severe anxiety, extreme fatigue, headaches, brain-fog, changing moods, social anxiety, higher more trembly voice, insomnia, no appetite, weak muscles, little bits of depression, all symptoms of adrenal fatigue negative thoughts started entering my head which never used to like how will I get a job, how will I get a girl, how am I gonna live life etc etc I never used to think stuff like this but they just started all of a sudden.

9. Read YBOP so thought I need to reboot. so did cold turkey 90 days off PMO. FELT AMAZING, a lot of the symptoms gone in that time.

10. Thought I was cured, started edging for 10 days, 11th day PMO’d and bam all symptoms returned at full force the following day. (not during or after orgasm, the symptoms start the following day)

11. Now in second reboot (its now 65 days into second reboot have noticed much faster to start recovering and for the symptoms to go away compared with the first reboot about 25 days or so compared to some 70 days in the first reboot) in saying this the fatigue and headaches are still there and I notice I always seem to feel better during the evening for some reason. my headaches go away and I feel like normal at night time.

Questions:
What is cause of these symptoms?
Is this Sexual Exhaustion from too much orgasm ejaculation, overstimulation and inability for the body to cope with such high demands?

HOW DO I FIX MYSELF?

I am taking a supplements, Organic Greens Super Food that has lots of good stuff in it herbs etc in the morning. Amino Acid complex during mid day, sometimes fish oil. sometimes protein shakes, a multivitamin at night time. What are your thoughts on this? I have changed the lifestyle, eliminated porn forever and started being more positive.

please reply me, im struggling to cope with the thought that I will never be able to have an orgasm again without getting such severe symptoms.

please help me fix this, im so worried

ur thoughts are greatly appreciated

I already asked once but I received no reply from you

ANSWER
I apologize for the late reply. I have found the first email and will attach it to the case. So, let’s get to it straight away:

My normal frequency would be daily, to long edging sessions to release right at the end, I would waste hours going from video to video. Most days were once, occasionally 2 or 3 times in a day and sometimes none in a day but the last two were rare. During the first 4 years everything was fine. It’s just this last year of 2014 at which everything’s gone wrong.

Hour long edging sessions can be extremely taxing on one’s neuroendoctine balance and proper organism functioning. Edging, as a practice, is definitely a more harmful variation of conventional masturbation. I would say that it is not uncommon to experience similar severity of the symptoms after years of consistent edging.

External pressure and stress can definitely be a contributing factor.

As you have noticed yourself then, increased sympathetic response to even minor triggers is quite common and usually very related to sexual exhaustion (in cases where similar lifestyle is observed).

Later that night I had to go to hospital for no apparent reason. I had headache, low mood, dry skin, fatigue, shaking, hot and cold flashes, abdominal discomfort, my heart beat and BP was all over the place.

Similar symptoms are almost definitely related to improper serotonin-GABA nervous modulation on excitatory and inflammatory response. Excessive sympathetic activity and inflammation will basically lead to all of the described symptoms and more. I will additionally expand on the phenomenon down my post.

That night I did another PMO and another one right after and no sperm came out I was dry. A few hours later and it literally sent me into severe anxiety, insomnia, crying at night, anorexia (unable to eat), and decreased appetite, sex drive and libido had gone. The majority of symptoms lasted about a week and a half.

It definitely sounds like a moderate to severe case of sexual exhaustion.

I ended up doing roughly 90 days free from PMO cold turkey on my first go. The first 2 weeks of it I experience massive withdrawal symptoms, all the ones you can think of. It was horrible. I was in a massive flatline, no penis response, no morning erections.

You definitely did well to endure 90 days and also avoided going over the “three month mark” I’ve mentioned in some of my previous answers as the safe limit for such. The flatline was to be expected and served to provide you with an accurate representation of the actual state of your condition.

The thing that triggered it was seeing news of a new pornstar on facebook.

The unfortunate fact is that addiction is not so easily removed from one’s brain. It can stay dormant for months or even years, waiting for a suitable trigger to reveal itself.

I was happily talking to a family member and then something in my brain flicked a switched and anxiety returned right there and then out of nowhere.

A bit uncommon I must say, not because of the suddenty of its appearance but because of the complete lack of any supporting symptoms.

This is actually very common with people who experience any form of anxiety disorder. It is most likely related to the way our bodies utilize certain neurostransmitters (in particular serotonin) during the natural circadian rhythm. During the evenings and at night the body becomes much more reliant on melatonin for its functioning, and serotonin abnormalities (such as low levels or certain receptor alterations) are less prone to be detected while under “lighter load”.

Do you think this could be adrenal fatigue or insufficiency? Maybe my adrenals can no longer produce cortisol properly?

Certain cortisol abnormalities are to be expected but they are usually a result of the excessive sympathetic functioning for increased anxiety, stress, and inflammation. Hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal-testicular axis is usually severely affected with sexual exhaustion, so there’s the possibility of suffering from a mild manifestation of such. However, taking in account the time needed to develop and your age, I would not suspect any permanent or severe abnormalities as of yet.

I did read somewhere that a varicocele can cause the testicle to overheat which results in low testosterone and poor sperm production, thus resulting in symptoms similar to the ones I experienced. Could this be causing problems me anxiety after orgasm or ejaculation? Maybe testosterone drops too low?

It is true. Patients with varicocele will definitely experience not only lowered testosterone but lowered androgens as a whole. It’s still a controversial subject, as in theory those levels are balanced by a negative feedback mechanism, meaning that the body will produce until it reaches the required levels (even if one testicle is present it should work double for instance). Of course, this theory has severe cracks in its viability, as for instance, it won’t explain the evolutionary need of testicles being outside the body if that ultimately won’t have any impact on androgens levels.

There are some studies pointing out numerous abnormalities happening during testicular overheating, partially preventing the body from utilizing testicular potential regardless of its sheer load input.

The reality is that most of the patients with varicocele do suffer from lowered androgen levels.

Androgens levels in general are known to be related to feelings of courage and calmness. A pretty straightforward indicator is the severely increased predominance of anxiety disorders in females, rather than males.

And to answer your question in a more straightforward manner – yes, this is definitely contributing to your anxiety.

I also notice that when I last PMO’d and times before that towards the latter years I get a rush of adrenaline similar to when you get frightened rather than a pleasure feeling when I look at PMO. Do you think looking at porn and over masturbation can cause these issues because it’s different from normal sex?

You will get those with normal sex too, predominantly through dopamine-norepinephrine-epinephrine conversions and increased demands on your cardiovascular system. The difference is that it is much more aggressive in its occurrence in people who have weakened modulation on serotonin-GABA nervous modulation (masturbation or not). Artery constriction can make it even worse.

1. Is this sexual exhaustion where my nervous systems are so battered from all the PMO?

The symptoms are definitely indicative of a moderate to severe stage of sexual exhaustion. PMO Addiction combined with individual genetic makeup and lifestyle can definitely lead to it.

2. How do I regain the ability to have no symptoms a day after ejaculation which last so long? In other words how to I go back to being normal? (Im sure if I did more O’s at once the symptoms would be much more severe).

You were generally on the right track. The way to go is to transform the negative neuroplasticity you’ve developed over the years into a positive one. The interneuronal connections have been developed and ordered to process information in a specific manner and it usually takes much conscious effort into rewiring them to induce the desired response.

3. Should I go to the doctor again? I have resisted as he will probably prescribe me SSRI’s or something which will not solve the problem.

It depends on the individual specialist. However, based on the symptoms you’ve described you are very correct in your expectation. I would strongly advise against any SSRIs / SNRIs as they can worsen the condition even further. Be sure to check: https://cure-erectile-dysfunction.org/antidepressants-and-sexual-function .

4. Why is there no symptoms after a wet dream but only when I PMO?

Nocturnal emissions are both shorter and notably less intensive as far as neuroendocrine load goes. They are also well timed with hGH / androgen spikes.

That being said, some people would still observe negative side effects and experience slower recovery (not nearly as bad as from PMO, though), especially if the emissions are excitatory / inflammatory in nature.

5. Should I have my bloods done to see if there are any deficiencies?

Similar generalized tests are usually quite ineffective in detecting the imbalanced state through the inability to monitor neurotransmitter levels in the brain, the wide range of acceptable results, and the flat ratio of hormone-neurohormone-neurotransmitter interactions monitored.

6. Is my varicocele and low testosterone a possible cause?

It’s definitely a contributing factor.

7. Could I have adrenal fatigue, Addison’s disease adrenal insufficiency or some sort of thyroid problem? Perhaps the adrenals are being pushed to their limits and can’t work properly from so much stress caused to them over time? (thyroid problems run in my family).

It is possible. However, it is not likely. And even so – the root issue is probably not the thyroid or adrenals. Naturally, the statement would be true only if you’ve not reached a breaking point, which is still unlikely since you’ve managed to restore quite a bit of your proper organism functioning for 90 days.

8. If in the first reboot I noticed so much improvement what do you advise?

The obvious suggestion would be to continue with what has proven to be of assistance. I will mention a couple of suggestions at the end of the post, though.

9. Are there any similar conditions to mine?

Yes, I’ve seen quite a few very similar cases.

10. Have people recovered?

They have. There are some useful practices that have worked well for almost all of the similar cases, even if each has its own minor individual differences.

Questions:
What is cause of these symptoms?
Is this Sexual Exhaustion from too much orgasm ejaculation, overstimulation and inability for the body to cope with such high demands?

It’s usually caused by a combination of factors, most of them related to self-abusing pattern of activities, individual gene expression, and general lifestyle. Let me mention some of the causes for your symptoms:

* Excessive masturbation usually leads to imbalances in acetylcholine, serotonin, dopamine, GABA levels and their respective receptor count, which in turn leads to a wide set of symptoms. However, one of the most notable consequences is the impaired serotonin-GABA nervous control on neuronal activity and excitatory / inflammatory response. As a result, excessive cortisol, prostaglandin E2, and other inflammatory factors are observed in blood, tissues, and brain. This creates a negative neuroplasticity extremely fast since excitatory factors have always played a part and been important for behavioral modulation in times of acute external stressor exposure.

* Artery constriction for increased inflammation and lessened blood flow to tissues.

* Adrenal gland adjustments to chronically create more stress and inflammatory hormones, such as cortisol and epinephrine, at the expense of DHEA and other androgens. This is closely related to the negative neuroplasticity loop I mentioned.

* The lowered androgens as a result of the varicocele you mentioned.

* The increased levels of cortisol, prostaglandin E2, norepinephrine, epinephrine, and especially prolactin to negatively affect the levels of GnRH, LH and FSH, and together with the arterial inflammation and constriction kill testicular function as well as hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal-testicular axis’ proper functioning. Matters only get worse by the possibility of your testicles not functioning at their full potential from the start due to the mentioned varicocele. Less androgens to modulate inflammatory response, testicular insulin resistance, energy levels, tissue and testicular health, hormonal conversions, and neurotransmitter homeostasis, will result in even more vicious cycle of inflammation to suppress them even further through low dopamine levels and chronically heightened prolactin.

I have changed the lifestyle, eliminated porn forever and started being more positive.”

You’re definitely on the right track there. However, you’ve missed addressing the mentioned serotonin-GABA nervous modulation, which is usually of extreme importance. Rewriting a negative neuroplasticity usually takes time and is a tricky thing to do if one is unaware of what he’s doing. It can support itself through feedback reactions so ideally you’d have to address each and every issue simultaneously. That’s why just a random set of supplements frequently prove ineffective.

There are some general things and practices you should consider. Such as:

* Exercise
Running is very beneficial for Nitric Oxide-hGH boosts, as well as for improved neurogenesis.

* Proper diet.
Much fiber, fruits, avoid milk with prostaglandin E2 analogs, avoid empty calories and much red meat.

* Negative ion exposure
The general rule is wherever there is water, there are negative ions: rivers, lakes, oceans and ponds, even your own shower.

* Massages
Similar practices definitely have a positive effect on local inflammatory processes and proper blood circulation restoration.

* PMO discontinuation
It’s definitely a good thing that you’re already on it. You’ll need to discontinue sexual activities for 1 to 2 months (several times if you have to) and then limit masturbation as well as other similar in nature activities to 1-3 times a week for 3 to 5 months.
Additionally, edging has to be completely discontinued.

* Healing visualization and meditation
Here particularly useful will be https://yourhealingmind.org , as guided imagery frequently produces results even beyond conventional medical expectations.

Also, a combination of Alpha-Amino, Multi-Alpha, 5HTP-Nettle (should be gradually discontinued 3rd to 4th month), GRB6-GABA (should be gradually discontinued 3rd to 4th month), Alpha-HGH, and Ultra-Purified-FishOil for the specific case, will improve nervous and endocrine functioning, stabilize acetylcholine, serotonin, dopamine, GABA levels, aid hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal-testicular axis proper functioning, restore proper serotonin-GABA nervous modulation on excitatory and inflammatory response, increase androgens, increase elasticity prostaglandin E1 E3 and Nitric Oxide, alter numerous gene expressions, and eventually rewrite the negative neuroplasticity developed.

Of course, you did mention that you are taking a similar combination so if you have found that it works for you I will suggest just adding L-Tryptophan or 5HTP-Nettle and GRB6-GABA.

Note that the primary goal for the first 3 to 4 months is to restore the proper acetylcholine-dopamine-serotonin-GABA levels / ratio and modulation on inflammatory and excitatory response, as well as proper dopamine-norepinephrine-epinephrine conversions and dopamine-prolactin ratio. You would then need to monitor your overall stress levels (both physical and mental) for some months to make sure you’re keeping the neuroplasticity that has been developed.

Please, keep me updated on the case.

Hi Mark,

quick update: its now about day 71 into my second reboot and im feeling a lot better. nearly 98% of my anxiety is gone. and a lot of the other symptoms are also gone.

few questions:
1. in my country GABA is illegal so what can I consume in stead of this??

2. also when should I consider trying a very quick masturbation again? is it too early or should I wait until day 120?

Thanks so much for all your help.. I have sent you a previous message with information in regards to what supplements I am taking but you haven’t replied that one yet. so if you could kindly answer them it would be much appreciated. I appreciate all your help your one person who keeps me going in this tough time in my life.

ANSWER
It’s a pleasure. I apologise for the late reply. Let’s get straight to it:

Thank you for being so thorough with the report. Let me say that your supplementation definitely seems very adequate and on point, with the exception I mentioned in my previous post. Additional and balanced 5HTP-Nettle and a “Picamilon” quality GABA supplementation (where the GABA has been combined with Niacin to pass the Blood–brain barrier) are essential to serotonin-GABA nervous modulation on inflammatory / excitatory response.

I also have 5-HTP (5-Hydroxy-L-Tryptophan) 50mg available but im not too sure if I should use it because I have read that it can lower dopamine

It is true, however, the effect is very mild at best and is basically required to diminish any excessive inflammatory / excitatory response, excessive dopamine-norepinephrine-epinephrine conversions, and to prevent “abstinence anxiety” caused by such on day 30 and above. Sexual activities discontinuation will actually increase dopamine above its usual range, even with heavy 5HTP supplementation.

is nettle a necessity with the 5-htp as mine doesn’t include nettle.

I won’t go as far as saying that it is absolutely necessary but it adds a very positive and thought out effect to the mix by addressing numerous inflammatory, anaemia, hair-loss, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), osteoarthritis, and digestive related problems in a quite effective manner.

how much dosage of GABA do I require?

If it’s not combined with niacin, I won’t recommend taking any since you’d have to rely on particularly large numbers to be somewhat effective. Standard GRB6-7-GABA dosage applies otherwise.

also is this order of taking the supplements okay. if you can advise when to take each supplement that would be great.

It’s usually highly individual. You may want to experiment with those and just go for whatever you feel like works best.

1. in my country GABA is illegal so what can I consume instead of this??

That’s quite unfortunate. I guess you’d have to rely just on GABA promoting foods, which is usually not quite as effective.

Also when should I consider trying a very quick masturbation again? is it too early or should I wait until day 120?

I won’t recommend going over 90 days (as quite a few patients report related side effects), so it’s certainly not too soon. Anywhere in between days 60 to 90 would be ideal.

Please, keep me updated on the case.

Glad if I could help!

I’m 29 and it has been 5 years now of liver phase 2 pathway issues – Gilbert’s Syndrome. I suffer from brain fog, depression, candida, herpes, adrenal fatigue, I’m stressed out a lot indicating I have active sympathetic system too. I’ve been trying to treat it for months with antibiotics but not that efficiently. I eat very well but my sexual appetite is still somehow not much. I feel I have energy issues and my sexual desire is closely connected to them. For instance, when I have lots of energy I usually have higher sex drive. Sadly, what usually happens is I go a week or two with little sexual desire with occasional bursts of improved for just one day. I want to keep it!

I’m without a girlfriend for 2 years and am really, really depressed. I just want to have my energy back. I have particular strange panic attacks that tend to happen only during night time and then I take some minerals to calm down.

My question is what should I take to improve upon the condition? I forgot to mention that it’s much worse after I masturbate and that it kind of all began when I was on a masturbation binge for a week, even the Gilbert’s Syndrome worsened much. I want to restore my bigger erections and get my sexual fire back.

ANSWER
You’ve witnessed the destructive consequences of excessive masturbation for yourself. It will worsen any even mild pre-existing condition through the domino effect. Prostaglandin E2 has burned neurons in the hypothalamus, hippocampus, pituitary, and adrenal glands for autoimmune disorders and caused the subsequent neuroplasticity during the low Serotonin-GABA modulatory nervous control functions. Epinephrine, the norepinephrine metabolite, sensitizes, intensifies and enhances the sympathetic nervous action. Panic attacks and anxiety are sympathetic Fight responses. Mood swing or bipolar are frequently derivatives of sympathetic nervous responses.

The first thing to consider is lowering masturbation frequency to once a month during the restoration phase.

A combination of Alpha-Amino, Multi-Alpha, Alpha-HGH, 5HTP-Nettle, GRB6-GABA, and Zeolite-DA will better nervous and endocrine functioning, stabilize acetylcholine, serotonin, dopamine, and GABA levels, detoxify the overburdened liver and positively affect the P450 system, modulate inflammatory response, better hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal-testicular functioning, increase androgens, jump start the CNS, increase prostaglandin E1 E3 and Nitric Oxide production, alter numerous gene expressions, and restore a positive neuroplasticity.

What’s crucial is to restore proper nervous modulation on excitatory and inflammatory response in this case.

When you see most of your symptoms diminished and libido improved, you may consider testicular temperature regulatory practices (uBreeze) to additionally increase androgens as the final straw of the recovery.

Glad if I could help!

I hesitated a lot before writing my story, where my symptoms were so light and insignificant until my case started to worsen and becomes more serious with time

I will try to summarize my case

When I reached 15 I over-masturbated ( 12 or 15 time in a single month)…and I repeated this act when I was 16 in a single month where I started to feel pain in my groin and my anus and it lasted for 3- 4 months ( I also had pains when I ejaculate or have a nocturnal emission)also I had :-
1- Severe back pains
2- Pain in the testis
3- Depression
4-Fatigue that last for one week or more
5-weak erection \ weak nocturnal erection
6- Bone pain (knees and joints)

Anyway, I managed to recover from these symptoms with practicing abstinence and trying to indulge in other activities just to overpass the negativity, and I did very well.

On 2007, I returned to masturbation with low frequency and notice that my semen become watery and lost it stickiness…I continued my abstinence from the 2nd quarter of 2007 till the first of 2008 and I noticed that I have got and allergy in my foot (eczema) and my stress levels where very high because of my surrounding environment.
Moreover,on 2009 I was so stressed and this led me to over masturbate ( 12 -15 time) in January, I stopped for 2 months and then over masturbate again in June of that year and in this situation my case become more complicated where I started to have:-

1- Weak erection
2- Bone pain
3- Muscle pains
4- Severe Hair loss all through my body
5- Anxiety and stress
6- headache , where I feel burning in my head that lasts for 1-2 hours after I wake up from my sleep
7- Dizziness and foggy brain
8- Laziness and Fatigue

Anyway, I did some of the Urine test because I use to get a cloudy urine for 3-6 second when I urinate and the result where:-

** An acidic action , and the presence of Amorphous Urates**
I did some blood test and here are the figures:-
1-Albumin:RESULT 4.86
RANGE: 3.5-5
2-Creatinine : RESULT (0.6) LOWER THAN THE LAB RANGE
RANGE: 0.7-1.2
3-TSH : RESULT 2.9
RANGE: 0.27-4.2
4-FSH : RESULT 2.6
RANGE : 1.5-12.4
5-LH: RESULT 6.29
RANGE :1.7-8.6
6-TESTOSTERONE : RESULT 13.32
RANGE : 9.9-27.8
7-PROLACTIN : RESULT 10.64
RANGE 4.6-21.4

I was then diagnose from the endocrinologist to have hypothyroidism , when I resulted the test again my TSH levels where out of the range. My sugar level is a bit high where the fating glucose level is always at 107 or 105. I was then told to reduce my sugars in my diet.

Right now, with my thyroid medicine I take:-
Grape seed extract 50mg
Multivitamin 1 tablet a day
Fish oil ( not to frequent)
Amino acid blend

My Question are:-
1- How can I overcome these symptoms?
2- What is the reason of my sense of burning in my head?
3- What is the reason of my Cloudy Urine?
4- What is the good diet I should follow, any supplements or food?
Thanks In advance Doctor Richard…
Regards,,,

ANSWER
Hello,

Fifteen times a month at that age is usually not considered over masturbation. However, through different gene expressions, lifestyle, and environmental factors, may have had a negative impact on your health.

“How can I overcome these symptoms?”

We shouldn’t neglect the diagnosed hypothyroidism as a possible cause for many of the symptoms described. May I ask of the exact thyroid medicine you’re currently taking?

“What is the reason of my sense of burning in my head?”

There are many possible causes. However, in sexually exhausted individuals, it is usually through the heightened excitatory and inflammatory prostaglandin E2 levels in the brain, as well as the improper modulation on inflammatory response.

“What is the reason of my Cloudy Urine?”

Again, there are many possible causes.

“What is the good diet I should follow, any supplements or food?”

You may want to avoid much red meat, milk with prostaglandin E2 analogs, soy, refined sugar, and fructose syrup. However, you may consider consulting a dietologist for a more specific advice.

Glad if I could help!

First I’d like to thank you for the advice and research you have put into helping others with similar problems on this site. I have found it very helpful.

Here’s my story. Around the age of 15 I masturbated once and sometimes twice a day for only about a year…if that. The impact it has had on my life is substantial. No one ever told me that it could screw ones mental state up so horribly.
Anyway, after I started realizing how it had been effecting me I immediately stopped. Years passed and I thought I would get better by just abstaining from masturbating. I really didn’t do any research or do anything about it so I just left my body alone but one thing continued…the constant wet dreams. It took about 3 years for me to get fed up with the slow recovery and do some research.

As of a couple weeks ago I started taking 5-htp, a male multi-vitamin, and Fish oil. Then I did a little more research and started taking GABA and amino acids as of only about 4 days ago. My symptoms for exhaustion include not feeling like myself in general, muscle tension, nervousness, racing thoughts, eye floaters, memory problems, lack of confidence, lack of concentration, ect. Before masturbation I had none of these problems.

The thing is some days I have these problems while other days I do not. When I don’t have a wet dream for almost a week I face only the eye floaters really..though I don’t feel completely like myself. Though about at the week mark I have one…every time. Last night I was feeling amazing, better than I had in such a long time and then that night I had wet dream and now I feel like I am taking a long leap back, with almost all of the symptoms persisting though they mellowed a little a good five hours after taking the supplements.

Do you know any possible way to prevent these wet dreams from preventing me from getting better? I know this sounds strange but when they happen I can choose to either hold in my ejaculate or release. Either way when it happens I feel this sense of doom that I had failed…yet again.

I just started taking GABA and that may have been the problem seeing as I fit basically all of the symptoms for having low GABA. I feel like the wet dreams aren’t normal ones either because the dreams are barely even sexual…they are merely suggestive and I have hardly any sexual thoughts during the day.

I plan on waiting out these supplements and giving them time but this is more annoying than anything I’ve ever been through. I’m ready to get better, but these wet dreams aren’t letting me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ANSWER
Hello,

The nocturnal emissions (if are not produced by cortisol and epinephrine overshooting during erection for fight-and-flight ejaculation reaction) are usually normal and healthy. I would suggest you to focus on the other aspects of the healing, as you are already doing.

Through the symptoms described, I would conclude that the serotonin-GABA nervous modulation, and especially GABA on dopamine-norepinephrine-epinephrine conversions and neurotransmitter impulses inhibition is not functioning as it should. So, a wet dream actually converts much dopamine to norepinephrine and epinephrine, and if you have already heightened levels of norepinephrine, or you are low on GABA, you will suffer ill consequences even after one ejaculation. You may consider addressing the issue with a combination of products to restore proper nervous and endocrine functioning and neurotransmitter levels proper balance. Other than that, you may start a regular exercise program to burn excessive stress and inflammatory hormones. A proper diet, negative ion exposure, massages, and positive attitude may also prove beneficial.

Glad if I could help!

During this time i had gone into a deep depression/stress and anxiety which started to bring on serious physical symptoms, impacting my sexual function greatly. I had begun to feel very low in energy, brain fog, lack of libido, weak erections, lack of morning erections, watery semen, testicle pains along with gradual shrinkage of my testicles, loss of muscles and strength, back pains. After it was revealed that i did not have cancer, my symptoms persisted, getting even worse! After sometime i finally relocated and got health insurance through my job, and was finally able to see a doctor and get some blood tests done, testing my testosterone. The Doctor that i had seen put me on an anti-depressant called Cymbalta which i took for about a month until i could not take it anymore. It made all of my symptoms much much worse. I had gotten a girlfriend at that same time and start to become sexual active again, but while i was on the medication,it prevented me from orgasming. I had only taken the medication for a month before stopping cold turkey(which may have been a big no no from my part), but ever since then my sexual function had gotten worse, but i have made some improvements. It has not been one year since i have been off them but i still have symptoms that i cannot shake. I am very aware of sexual exhaustion, which i do not believe i have because i never over masturbated, but i seem to share all the symptoms of it. Whenever i orgasms, i get very very tired and irritated feeling, my eyes feel like they are buring, and my knees feel weak and sore. After researching on the web i feel as those i am suffering from Low Dopamine, and have no idea how to fix myself, hoping i am not permanently damaged, my testicles have decreased in size during all of this and that worries me a lot. I have no been very successful abstaining from sexual activity, but feel an improvement whenever i had tried. I am looking for advice in what i should do to help myself, and i am hoping that there is a chance i can feel normal again. I had tried exercising which helps a little bit but not much. I take a multivitamin daily, along with ginkgo biloba, vitamind D, and every night before bed i take zinc, magnesium, and vitamin B6. On my most recent bloodwork i had done it show that my prolactin was at 16.2ng/ml (range 3.7-17.90), and that was after i had abstained from ejaculation for over a week! These are the full results from that test.

Test Result Reference Range
Testosterone, Total 684 mg/dl 250-1100
SHBG 40 nmol/l 7-49
Testosterone Bioavailable 177.4 mg/dl 110.0-575.0
Albumin, Serum 4.8 g/dl 3.6-5.1
Testosterone, Free 81.1 pg/ml 46.0-224.0
TSH 1.74 uIU/ml 0.350-5.500
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, I am lost!

ANSWER
I’m sorry to hear of you problems, especially that they persisted so long, since they could have been addressed properly much earlier.

Most of cases of sexual exhaustion as a result of of excessive sexual activities, however, sexual exhaustion can be a result of anything that may affect certain neurotransmitters, hormones, and bodily reactions.
The stressful times you’ve gone through increased stress and inflammatory response and gradually altered nervous modulation on inflammatory response (highly dependent on proper serotonin, GABA, dopamine, and acetylcholine levels), which resulted in a vicious cycle for excessive epinephrine, norepinephrine, cortisol, histamine, glutamate, and prostaglandin E2. The cycle of inflammation is usually self supporting through:

-Lowered acetylcholine, serotonin, dopamine, and GABA levels which will eventually lead to internal stress and inflammation response.
-Adrenal gland adjustments to chronically create more stress and inflammatory hormones, such as cortisol and epinephrine, and lowered DHEA.
-Artery constriction for less blood flow and thus increased local inflammation.
-The increased levels of cortisol, prostaglandin E2, norepinephrine, epinephrine, and especially prolactin will negatively affect the levels of GnRH, LH and FSH, and together with the arterial inflammation and constriction will burden testicular function as well as hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal-testicular axis’ proper functioning. Less androgens to modulate inflammatory response, testicular tissue health, insulin resistance, energy levels, tissue and testicular health, proper nts. and hormonal conversions, and neurotransmitter homeostasis will result in even greater cycles of inflammation to suppress them even further through low dopamine levels and chronically high prolactin. The overactive sexual activities will slowly drain the organism of its potential for rejuvenation.

The antidepressant drugs are usually prescribed in similar situations (carrying serious health risks) addressing just some of the symptoms and completely neglecting the root of the problem. It is a good thing you discontinued the usage of the drug.

The blood work presented is indicative of heightened inflammatory response. Usually, one of both manifestations and causes, as you suspected, is weak dopaminergic functioning.

The irritation, weak and stiff joints, as well as eye irritations are mainly a result of excessive sympathethic epinephrine response, as well as inflammatory prostaglandin E2 and cortisol.

One must transform the neuroplasticity to a positive one. The inter neuronal connections have been developed and ordered to process information in a specific manner. You may experience severe difficulties in rewriting their work to induce proper (by what you consider a proper response) responses in certain situations.
Every problem must be addressed simultaneously to avoid negative feedback mechanisms. That is why just a random set of supplements may prove to be ineffective.

For the specific case, a combination of Alpha-Amino, Multi-Alpha, Zeolite-DA, Alpha-AGH, 5HTP-Nettle, and Ultra-Purified-FishOil will better nervous and endocrine functioning, detoxify the liver and restore its P450 system functioning, restore proper acetylcholine, serotonin, dopamine, and GABA levels, better hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal-testicular functioning, increase androgens, lower inflammatory response and prolactin levels, jump start the CNS, increase prostaglandin E1 E3 and Nitric Oxide, alter numerous gene expressions, and finally rewrite the negative neuroplasticity developed.

Testicle cooling to additionally increase androgens is to be considered as well.

Light exercise, negative ion exposure, massages, positive attitude, sexual abstinence for 2 to 4 weeks, and proper diet may also aid the recovery process.

Glad if I could help!

The symptoms that you describe in your sexual exhaustion article are identical to many of the symptoms I have felt for the last 13 years, I am now 33. I have severe chronic pain in my joints and soft tissue, I have low libido and suffer from sexual exhaustion after sex, fatigue, frequent urination, brain fog, sometime difficulty with balance and even twitching or shaking. You mention in your article what needs to be fixed in order to repair these symptoms (see below) but I would like to know exactly what to do. No one has ever been able to help me and things just seem to get worse.

‘The solution is to help your neuro-endocrine function and stabilize your serotonin and GABA nervous modulation on the Fight or Flight responses. You must also recharge your parasympathetic nervous system and boost your prostaglandin E-1 , E-3, oxytocin and Nitric Oxide production for healing’.

Thanks
Thomas

ANSWER
Thomas,
Yes, the symptoms you describe are frequently associated with sexual exhaustion. The chronically abnormal acetylcholine, serotonin, dopamine, and GABA levels, as well as weakened modulation on inflammatory response for excessive epinephrine, norepinephrine, cortisol, histamine, glutamate, and prostaglandin E2 levels are in the root of every problem described. Chronically observed excessive inflammatory response is a self supporting condition that has to be broken by addressing every problem to avoid negative feedback reactions.

To answer your question:
It differs, there are numerous phases of sexual exhaustion. By the symptoms described I would say that you suffer from a moderate case of sexual exhaustion. The low libido and exhaustion after sex is a direct indication of heightened prolactin levels, as well as borderline androgens, which is frequently indicative of abnormal hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal-testicular axis and mainly dopamine abnormalities. The brain fog, twitching, and shaking is indicative of severe abnormalities in acetylcholine, serotonin, dopamine, and GABA levels, as well as heightened inflammatory response. The frequent urination is most probably a case of inflamed of enlarged prostate as a result of excessive testosterone-DHT conversions, or/and poor blood flow and artery constriction in the area.

In the specific case, a combination of Alpha-Amino, GRB6-GABA, 5HTP-Nettle, Multi-Alpha, Alpha-AGH, and Ultra-Purified-FishOil will better nervous and endocrine functioning, stabilize acetylcholine, serotonin, dopamine, and GABA levels, aid serotonin-GABA modulation on inflammatory response for proper epinephrine, norepinephrine, histamine, glutamate, cortisol, and prostaglandin E2 levels, better hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal-testicular axis functioning, increase androgens, lower prolactin and stabilize libido, jump start the CNS, increase prostaglandin E1 E3 and Nitric Oxide levels, alter numerous gene expressions, and rewrite the negative neuroplasticity developed with the years.

You may also consider solutions to additionally increase androgens.

There are also numerous activities and lifestyle changes that may aid the recovery process, such as: exercise, proper diet, positive attitude, negative ion exposure, massages, and sexual abstinence for 2 to 4 weeks.

Glad if I could help!

Thanks for putting up this website, you are offering an invaluable service to many men who have gone on the wrong track with their sexual health.

I have been struggling with unhealthy masturbation since I was 14, and pornography use since 22. I am now 36. I am in the midst of recovery for about 2 months with a couple of relapses, but still walking towards healthy living. (Again, your website is the reason why I don’t entertain porn or the idea of masturbation anymore. I think even looking at a pornographic image burns away healthy energy).

Presently, I am taking presently taking everything you have recommended for other people on this site. I am also consuming raw egg yolk for the acetycholine, and a product called ProstalTone, which is an herbal tonic formula that reduces prostate swelling and congestion, and balances the male hormones. It contains “Saw palmetto, Damiana, Goldenrod, White dead nettle, Hydrangea, Nettle, Urtica Radix, Althaea Off. Radix”.

My question is: depending on the severity of the SE, can recovering from SE also be painful? For example, I do struggle with short term memory. Sometimes my head is foggy, and others it is remarkably clear. However, I hit stages where my head pounds, painfully. Then it fades. I have similar experiences with my groin area and my lower back. The more I take this supplements, I feel great, then some intense pain, then further relief.

Any insights?

Regards.
PS. Have you heard of a device called the Ring of Power (fits around your genitalia, and is supposed to increase testosterone). If you have, any idea about its efficacy?

ANSWER
Hello,

I appreciate your kind words!

Since most the hormones are released in surges, numerous symptom fluctuations may occur. You should observe and see if can notice a pattern, so we can pinpoint the exact cause. But yes, it is not uncommon. Also, there are a bunch of other factors that may contribute to the fluctuations: emotional health, physical activity, diet and specific food intake, cardiovascular health, insulin resistance and glucose levels, and many, many more.

The Ring of Power is said to stimulate blood circulation to the sexual organs through electric current stimulation, which is indeed possible, but can be achieved with a simple exercise or massage. Also, the ion transfer theory presented is not backed up by any scientific research.

ANSWER
I’m sorry to hear that noone warned you about the dangers of SSRIs for 8 years.

It is extremely long period for one to take SSRIs, which of course lead to an extreme bio-imbalance and ruined the proper bodily functioning. Even just one SSRI pill is harmful enough, let alone thousands.

The constant use of SSRIs gradually altered your neuroplasticity, leading to severe addiction and withdrawal symptoms.

Most of the damage will be healed over time. There may be some irreversible damage in the form of slightly altered nervous functions and modulations on numerous neurotransmitter and hormonal releases.
There are now specially designed supplemental compounds that can be found in this site, and will gradually and naturally deal with most of the damage caused by the SSRIs and over-active sexual activity.

You should:
1.Discontinue sexual activities for 1 to 3 months.
2.Balance your diet.
3.Make good use of Multi-Alpha, 5HTP-Nettle, Zeolite-DA, Ultra-Purified-FishOil, and testicle temperature regulatory solutions to restore proper nervous and endocrine functioning, detoxify the liver, restore proper neurotransmitter and hormonal levels, restore your nervous modulation on your inflammatory hormones release, increase androgens, and boost Prostaglandin E1 E3 and NO levels for healing.

UPDATE
While being on SSRIs I noticed it affected my memory where I was always staggering over my words and searching for what I wanted to say. (sexual exhuastion could have also played part) Sometimes SSRI would even make me slure my words.
5-htp is totally different and therefor I shouldn’t experience any memory loss or articulation problems while using it?
thanks, doc.

ANSWER
“5-htp is totally different and therefor I shouldn’t experience any memory loss or articulation problems while using it?”

Yes, when the brain sends a messages they are passed between the nerve cells with the help of the chemical synapse (a gap between the cells). The sender cell releases neurotransmitters in the gap, these neurotransmitters are recognized by the receptors of the recipient cell. Some of the neurotransmitters are lost in this process, the others are released and taken up by special monoamine transporters into the sending cell and the process is called reuptake.

SSRI inhibit the reuptake of serotonin, the result is that the serotonin is not taken up by the monoamine transporters and stays longer in the gap than it should stay, thus stimulating the receptors of the recipient cell again and again. Various problems will then occur as a side effects. One of which is that the high levels of serotonin will not only activate postsynaptic receptors but will flood the autoreceptors which are the feedback sensor. These autoreceptors in turn on a throttling of serotonin production. There is much more to it, but you can see now why these drugs can be so addictive after a period of time – in order to feel right you will need them again and again (due to the lack of normal levels of serotonin, and you will never have them). Not having them is a problem though, because serotonin is widely used by the body and will harm other vital functions.

I’m 28 years old male. I started masturbation at 6 (not kidding) and since then I’ve done it on a regular basis. It was good in the beginning but after some time I started to feel exhausted, it became worse after some when I started to feel my legs shaky and my mind absent after masturbation. I became extremely lazy person and wouldn’t wish to do simple things like going out with the buddies, instead I would just sit home perfectly happy – masturbate and play video games, of course this would lead to even more masturbation and video games. This continued for years and years.

Around 22 I started to experience more severe problems like – extremely fast ejaculation (I can cum for 30 seconds, seriously), noticeable bad memory, shaky-weak legs for hours after I’ve cummed, hair loss, and anxious feeling in my guts all day long. 4 months ago I suspected the over-masturbation to be the root of the problems and went to urologist, he told me that it is possible this to be the root of the problems, and I need to reduce the frequency of masturbation. He wasn’t interested even the slightest and did not prescript anything, it was more like – aha yes it is possible, bye-bye. So I started quitting masturbation for longer periods, now I’ve been off for 2 months but I’m not improving. Why is that?

ANSWER
Ejaculation is not a simple process that just leads to minor symptoms like tiredness for a day, just to have them resolved upon discontinuation. It is much more serious and numerous neurochemical reactions are taking place during this activity.

The burning of excessive androgen hormones and neurochemicals during sexual activities will lead to increased pleasure – that is good for your health. However, in today’s societies the people are overburning them to the point where the chemistry of the cerebrospinal fluid is severely affected as a result. If the CS fluid contains insufficient androgen hormones and neurochemicals, your nervous system and internal organ functions will fail to function properly. One will experience unstable biochemical balance that will cause all kind of strange symptoms. Once the body reaches the sexual exhaustion state, it will be very difficult for your exhausted liver and parasympathetic nervous functions to produce healing power to reverse it.

1.Discontinue any sexual activity for 1 to 3 months.
2.Keep a balanced diet and start exercising.
3.Boost the rejuvenation time with Multi-Alpha, Alpha-Amino, 5HTP-Nettle, and Ultra-Purified-FishOil.
4.Make good use of devices to reliably increase your androgens by testicle temperature regulation.
5.Stay positive to avoid any additional stress hormones release.

This will jump start the healing process.

You’re a life saver DR. RICHARDS! Just 2 weeks after starting the old program I become full of energy so the sitting infront of video games became unacceptable options. Started going to the clubs and became more “pumped”, it is actually there where I found my new girlfriend and the recent I think that the ME of the past was not myself at all, so yea, thanks for bringing me back to life and I don’t plan on stopping taking them in the near future either!

A big one for me is loss of thought and memory problems. I just can’t seem to think of what I want to say. I also have major premature ejaculation and weak erections.

I went to my nature path and after testing me with his machine, told me my brain needed Gaba and Citicoline(to increase my Acetylcholine.)

Does this sound about right? He told me I didn’t need 5-HTP.
Your site is amazing and has been really helpful. Thank you so very much.
I hope after 25 years of doing damage to my body I’ll be able to repair it.
If there is anything else you think I might need please let me know.

Thanks again.

ANSWER
I’m sorry to hear about your problems.
Since you suffer from more than 10 symptoms I would guess that you have chronically discharged your acetylcholine, dopamine, serotonin, and GABA nervous systems, resulting in brain’s nervous, liver, and endocrine disorders. Much can be said, but let’s get specific about the symptoms that seem to bother you the most.

You were rightfully prescribed GABA and Citicoline, but I’m at a loss to why they told you that you didn’t need 5-HTP, since your second major symptom is premature ejaculation.

The neurotransmitter serotonin plays a central role in modulating ejaculation. Low levels of serotonin in the synaptic cleft (in the brain) is very likely to cause premature ejaculation. This is exactly why SSRIs – selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors, which increase serotonin level in the synapse, are somewhat used to treat PE. However, since you are said not to have abnormal levels (which is somewhat strange considering your symptoms) I would not suggest you to take any 5-HTP.

Generally speaking, a balanced neurotransmitter/hormone ratio is crucial. If you alter one, you may as well expect a chain reaction, altering the others as well. In order to heal from 25 years of accumulated damage, one would need a huge amount of patience and determination.

I’d suggest to:

Discontinue every ill practice – drug abuse, over-masturbation, over-ejaculation. In fact in your condition is is crucial to discontinue them completely for a few months.

Treat yourself well and use your time wisely – concentrate and picture yourself well and healthy again. Take showers, massages. After you feel better go do some light exercising to burn out harmful substances in your blood and increase synthesis of HGH and other various vital hormones.

Use supplemental support to give your organism everything it needs to initiate the process of healing – Multi-Alpha, Alpha-Amino, 5HTP-Nettle, and Ultra-Purified-FishOil.

You may want to consider making good use of devices to optimize androgen levels by testicle temperature regulation.
You should also avoid negative or/and angry thoughts, due to the possibility of additional epinephrine and cortisol release.

UPDATE
Thank you very much for the information. I greatly appreciate it.
I have a few more questions:

Is taking Nutra-Sea Omega3 (EPA&DHA) a good source of fishoil?

I’m also going to take a multi-B-vitamin… Gaba… Citicoline, and I’m going to get tested for 5-HTP one more time just to make sure I don’t need it. (although I was on Luvox for about 3 years and Paxil about 4 years and those only helped a tiny, tiny bit).

Also: Just in case there is anything else you need to add here are my exact symptoms:

Obsessive and Compulsive thoughts
Anxiety and Panic attacks
Memory loss
Watery semen
Less concentration
Depression and nervous mood
Frequent urination or urinary urgency
Sleep disorders – insomnia or hypersomnia
Fatigue, laziness or loss of interest
Irritability and short temper
Paranoia or losing confidence on everything.
Muscle tension or cramp
Low Back and buttock muscle pain.

Hopefully I can keep my spirits up as I’m usually a negative thinker and feel down and out all the time. Working from home doesn’t help because I don’t get to socialize very much. I am going to start going to the gym again and hopefully that helps.

To be honest, I can’t remember a time when I didn’t have premature ejaculation… it has just gotten worse and worse over the years. I have obsessive thinking… my brain is working on overload — I have to be careful taking citicoline as it works as an uppper and I’m already full of anxiety and high strung.

I’m taking at least one month off, hopefully I can go for two.. but it’ll be tough considering I’m addicted to ejac. I also have shy bladder where I cannot use pubic washrooms or pee if someone is outside the door. Maybe this has something to do with it as well. Penis size may have something to do with it as well (I’m a grower) and worry if someone will judge me. (although I fine with the length of my penis when it’s erect).

Thanks again for all your help.. and if you have any new thoughts on the new info I provided you with I’d love to hear it.
Curtis.

ANSWER
Curtis, I’m glad you found this information useful. It is my personal desire do inform the people about the dangers of over-active sexual activity. I’ve personally seen the ill consequences many, many times.

As for your question – Nutra-Sea Omega3 seems a fairly good source of FishOil.

There is a huge difference, though, between taking Luvox, Paxil and having normal levels of Serotonin.

I’m doing some adjustments and will soon update “Symptoms of Sexual Exhaustion” with precise information on the matter. Your symptoms are all present and will be explained in a more detailed fashion.

I see that you are determined to change your life, and you will.
Wish you a fast recovery.

UPDATE
Thanks for the updates. The breakdown really helps.
Just to be clear… you stated:

“The solution is to help your neuro-endocrine function and stabilize your serotonin and GABA nervous modulation on the Fight or Flight responses. You must also recharge your parasympathetic nervous system and boost your prostaglandin E-1 , E-3, oxytocin and Nitric Oxide production for healing.”

1)So to fix the above one should take Serotonin and Gaba plus Balance point for Men, fish oild and stop sexual attivity for about two months or so?

2) Will rest cause penis shrinkage to go back to normal?

3) Is taking 5-HTP to boost serotonin totally different than taking Luvox, Paxil..etc. I used to be on Paxil and it slowed my thinking process down greatly and had me searching for words all the time. I don’t want to take 5-HTP if it’s going to do the same thing.

4) What is the best neurotransmitter test to find out what one is lacking? Blood?
These are my final questions and hopefully you will respond and they I can start the process of healing.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

ANSWER
Curtis,
1) Yes – this covers the basics. You’re experiencing numerous symptoms of sexual exhaustion, though, which means that the road to recovery won’t be so fast. Remember, it took you years to create the negative neuroplasticity you’re describing, so when reversing the effects you should be patient. Improvements are to be observed in a few months, but my guess is that you won’t be healed completely. Having the right attitude is of great importance.

Neurotransmitters are the messengers carrying messages from neuron to neuron, while vitamins and minerals are needed to convert ordinary amino acids into neurotransmitters. The formula above will be of a huge assistance in reversing the ill effects of over-active sexual activities, but you have to be conscious about what you do. You should have proper diet too, in your case in addition to the up-stated solution, you can add and peanuts, liver, meat, fish, milk (without any prostaglandin analogs) and vegetables.

It is also very important not to engage in any sexual activity for the time being. After the second month you may ejaculate once, and keep it once monthly for two more months. Then gradually return to normal – two times per month the next, three times per month, four times per month. You should observe notable improvements, but if you experience some of the symptoms again you should reduce the sexual activity.

2) Yes, your penis shrinkage will go back to normal after you stabilize your once considered proper biochemistry.

3)Taking 5-HTP is totally different. Luvox and Paxil are serotonin inhibitors. When the brain sends a messages they are passed between the nerve cells with the help of the chemical synapse(a gap between the cells). The sender cell releases neurotransmitters in the gap. These neurotransmitters are recognized by the receptors of the recipient cell. Some of the neurotransmitters are lost in this process, the others are released and taken up by special monoamine transporters into the sending cell and the process is called re-uptake. SSRI inhibit the reputake of serotonin, resulting in the serotonin not being taken up by the monoamine transporters and basically overstaying in the gap, thus stimulating the receptors of the recipient cell again and again. Various problems will then occur as a side effects. High levels of serotonin will not only activate postsynaptic receptors but will flood the autoreceptors which are the feedback sensor. These auto-receptors, of course, will signal for serotonin production discontinuation. There is much more to it, but you can see now why these drugs can be so addictive after a period of time – in order to feel right you will need them again and again, due to the, in actuality, severely lowered levels of serotonin.

The 5-HTP on the other hand is a direct precursor of serotonin.

4)There are different ways to evaluate neurotransmitter imbalances, the standard ones are urine or blood sample.

UPDATE
Thanks for the info, Doc. I greatly appreciate it.

I have to be careful though because I already feel my brain working overload and I think it might be that I’ve been on Citicoline for a month now. I don’t want to over do it as neurons fluctuate quickly, right? Someting I’m taking, either B vitamin, Citicoline, Gaba.. is making my brain buzz. so i’m going to lay off the citicoline and see if that helps, my thinking has gotten stronger already so maybe I’ve had enough. I normally high strung so citicoline is like a stimulant to me.

So far my body feels a bit better but my brain is giving me all sorts of messed up feelings. If someone has been ejaculating every day for a long time and all of a suddens stops, is there a withdrawal effect? I’m very irritable and depressed feeling… no love for the wife or for life itself. Maybe taking Gaba and citicoline has already made some changes, or maybe my brain is so used to getting a giant dopamine shot every night and now it’s craving it, going through withdrawal.
Any thoughts?

ANSWER
Yes! You are experiencing withdrawal symptoms. And – yes, the body is craving for its dopamine shot.
Insufficient Serotonin-GABA nervous modulation on the dopamine-norepinephrine-epinephrine conversion you will have your nervous control blown up.
The symptoms will pass.

Hopefully it won’t take too long for my symptoms to pass as I’m having very negative, dispiriting thoughts.

UPDATE
Hello, just wanted to check in and say I’ve gone three weeks without ejaculating and have had a few bumps along the way. I feel very anxious sometimes when I have the urge but eventually it goes away… I get the feeling that I would still suffer from premature ejaculation but my memory and other things are better. I noticed in some new threads you’ve told people to rest a month but I was originally told to rest two months, try it out, and then rest another month. Is this still what I should do because I’ve suffered from exhaustion for a long time? I wish I would have stopped when I was just getting pain while ejaculating, but instead I continued until loss of erection occurred.
thanks, doc.

ANSWER
Curtis, glad to hear from you.
Yes, 25 years of exhaustion is a long time and will be difficult to recover and rewrite the negative neuroplasticity for only a month of abstinence. However, you may gradually start returning to normal functioning and see if you feel better.

UPDATE
(One Month)
Hi Dr Richards,
I’ve only ejaculated once within a month and although my package feels better (looser with better blood flow) I still can’t get an erection without fondling stimulation and I’ve just recently been getting a burning feeling when urinating, and have the feeling of needing to pee several times throughout the night. Last night it burned more than normal so I spread open the hole to my penis and it looked red inside. Could I have a bladder or Urethra infection? My testicles seem to change shape ever so often. One day they can be small, then average… and when I was getting the burning feeling last night and red penis hole my testicle were very big. This morning they are feeling normal again. I would really like to get your opinion? (I waiting to here back from a blood and urine test for liver/kidney and whatever else from my doctor. Maybe something will show up.)

thank you, sir.
One more thing.. also notice that other than my first trip to the washroom in the morning, my urine is usually pretty clear, and not yellow.

I just wish I would have stopped sexual activity when I had pain ejaculating, instead I carried on until I couldn’t get an erection.

Just feels like there is something else wrong than just exhaustion. Slight burning while urinating, red hole, constant feeling of having to pee, especially at night.

another symptom is easy release of stool accompanied with some burning and slight rawness.

thanks again.

Curtis, there might be inconsistencies with the healing process through numerous feedback mechanisms but should fade away. You are most probably still suffering from excessive excitatory and inflammatory prostaglandin E2 levels through the negative neuroplasticity and the years of abuse.

Okay, so I should just stay positive, try not to stimulate myself, and after a while these symptoms should lesson more and more until they go away? I know my nervous system is going crazy and my feet burn and if i get aroused just slightly I feel semen trying to make its way to ejaculate. In fact, it might be withdrawal, because the symptoms seemed to go away for about a week after I ejaculated that one time. Maybe my body is so use to ejaculating every day for 20 years that now it’s not getting it and my nervous system has gone haywire. Hopefully with time this will pass.

Tough stuff to overcome, but my brain is stronger and my anxiety has lesson greatly so I’m staying positive. Just wish my nervous system would relax.

thank you so much for helping me. I feel my life is going to turn around soon.

(Hitting the 3 week period)
Hi Doc,
I’m really having a hard time getting past the 3 week period. Not ejaculating is really got my nervous system jacked up. My feet get cold with a burning sensation, and I’m really anxious and can’t sleep with tingle sensation going through my body. I tried getting massages to calm down, but rubbing my feet or back for more than five minutes in one area can make me feel like I’m going to ejaculate without erection.

Is this just withdrawal? I’ve been ejaculating every day for 15 years so is now my nervous system going nuts without it? As soon as I ejaculate once my entire body feels better, and is good for at least a week and then the symptoms start to creep back.

Should I see a neurologist, or is this just a reaction that is going to happen for a while until my nervous system gets over its addiction? This is tough to do, but I want so badly to get over this… I’m just a bit scared because sometimes at the three week period I even get sharp pains in my head. I sometimes feel a bit sick to my stomach after taking all my pills, don’t think my stomach likes amino acid that much.

I’ve been taking citicoline and also 500mg of L-Argine a day.. is it possible these items or maybe something else is stimulating my nervous system while I’m going through cold turkey?
thanks.

Yes, it is possible to experience numerous symptom fluctuations. Should avoid large quantities of L-Arginine alone without any backing supplements.

Since you start to experience the ill symptoms after a weak, I suggest to just set the masturbation frequency once a weak for some time and later make further adjustments.
